HEAD Pro X Duffle Sport Padel Bag (60 L)

£60.95

The HEAD Pro X Duffle Sport padel bag is a 60-litre holdall in black and dark grey for players who want one bag for the gym and the court: a big main compartment, a separate shoe compartment, an accessory pocket and straps to carry it on the shoulder or on your back.

It's a sport duffle, not a racket bag. HEAD's listing doesn't mention a racket compartment or CCT+ lining, so rackets travel in it the way they would in any holdall: in their covers, on top of your kit.

A sport holdall, not a racket bag

HEAD makes two kinds of 60-litre Pro X duffle and the names are close enough to confuse anyone. The Pro X Duffle L and its Coello edition are padel bags: each has a CCT+ racket compartment, lined to slow down heat and cold. This one, the Duffle Sport, is a general holdall. HEAD lists the volume, a two-way carry system, a shoe compartment and an accessory pocket, and nothing about rackets.

That makes it a good bag for someone who goes to the gym on Tuesday and plays padel on Thursday and wants one holdall for both. It makes it a poor bag for someone who leaves rackets in the car all week, because there's no lined section to protect them.

Feature grid comparing the HEAD Pro X Duffle Sport Bag with the Pro X Duffle L and Coello Pro X Duffle L: all about 60 litres with a shoe compartment and shoulder or back carry; only the two padel duffles list a CCT+ racket compartment

How to carry rackets in it

Put each racket in a cover first. A soft cover from our padel racket covers range, or HEAD's own racket cover, stops a racket face scuffing against a zip or a shoe buckle. Lay them flat on top of your towel and clothes, so the soft kit underneath takes the knocks, and keep your shoes in their compartment so the court's sand doesn't end up on the face.

On a hot day, bring the bag inside rather than leaving it in the boot. With no lining, the inside gets as hot as the car does, and heat is what softens a racket's foam over a summer.

Not for you if

Your rackets live in the car between games, you carry three or more rackets, or you want a section that keeps them upright and apart. A padel racket bag with a lined compartment will look after them better.

What HEAD lists, and what it does not

HEAD gives a medium volume of 60 litres, the two-way carry and a dedicated shoe compartment on its own page. One retailer lists 60 × 32 × 31.5 cm, inside mesh compartments and a detachable bag for sweaty clothes, and an older HEAD regional page mentions more zipped pockets than the single one on the main listing. We've kept to what HEAD's main page says and left the rest out of the spec table. HEAD gives no racket count.

Filling it for a padel session

Shoes from padel shoes in the shoe compartment, a tube from padel balls and a spare overgrip from padel grips in the accessory pocket, and rackets in covers on top. Every bag we stock, racket bags included, is on padel bags. If you only need a kit holdall that folds away, HEAD's smaller Tour Court Bag does that without the racket pocket.
