ASICS Solution Speed FF 2 Women's Shoes, White and Purple

4 · £87.96

The ASICS Solution Speed FF 2 women's shoes in white and purple (1042A136-104) are a fast, light court shoe from ASICS's tennis line, and a pair that padel players pick up for quick footwork on sand-dressed turf.

We have to be straight about the sole. We couldn't find a retailer page for the 1042A136 code, so we can't confirm whether this pair has a clay herringbone or a hard-court tread. Check the code on your pair before you play padel in it. Our listing runs UK 4 to 8.5.

What we can and cannot confirm

The Solution Speed FF 2 is described by retailers as the fastest shoe in ASICS's women's tennis range. That is a retailer's line, not a figure we can test, but it explains why it turns up in padel searches.

Search results show 1042A134 as the clay version, with colours including a white and purple 104 pair, and an eBay listing carries 1042A136 as a smoke blue colour. We found nothing that tells us what is under this 1042A136-104 pair, and no weight, width or season either.

Not for you if

You need a confirmed herringbone sole for padel, or any published weight and fit. This listing has neither, so the padel-named shoes are the safer choice.
