Light, quick and narrow

ASICS built the Game FF to be light and flexible out of the box, and the women's version shows it: Tennis Warehouse Europe weighs it at 261 g at a US 8.5. For comparison, our HEAD Motion Pro women's page lists about 318 g at the same size. On a court where you take dozens of short split steps in a set, that difference is easy to feel.

The fit is narrow with a medium arch, and it runs true to size with no break-in. Narrow or average feet will feel held. Wider feet often find the forefoot tight, and if that's you the medium-width Gel-Dedicate 9 is the more comfortable ASICS entry shoe.

The sole is the important part

Underneath is a two-piece split outsole in ASICS High Abrasion Rubber, with a midfoot shank bridging the gap for lateral stability. ASICS designed it for padel courts' sand-dressed artificial grass, and the split keeps weight down. Above it sits FlyteFoam, ASICS's light foam, and an upper ASICS reworked to feel softer and breathe better.

Don't confuse it with the Game FF Clay/OC. That shoe shares the name but has a full herringbone sole for clay and omni courts, and we list it separately as the women's Game FF Clay/Omni Court. For padel, buy the padel one.

Game FF or another women's padel shoe?

Within ASICS, the Gel-Dedicate 9 is the roomier entry shoe with GEL cushioning, the women's Gel-Challenger 15 is the mid-range step with more support, and the women's Gel-Resolution X is the most cushioned and stable. The men's Game FF Padel is the same shoe on a men's last, if you need a larger size.

Not for you if

Your feet are wide, you need a lot of cushioning for knees or heels, or you play four or more times a week. A medium-width or more cushioned shoe will last and fit better.

Our listing runs UK 5 to 8.5. ASICS's women's chart on Tennis Warehouse Europe runs from UK 3.5 (22.75 cm) to UK 8 (26.5 cm) and the shoe is listed as true to size. Is the ASICS Game FF Padel women's the same as the Game FF Clay/OC?

No. The padel version has a split padel outsole for artificial grass. The Clay/OC version has a full herringbone sole for clay and omni courts. Buy the padel one for padel.

Are ASICS Game FF women's padel shoes good for beginners?

Yes, if your feet are narrow or average. They are light, need no break-in and suit once- or twice-a-week players. Wider feet usually do better in the Gel-Dedicate 9.

ASICS Game FF or Gel-Dedicate 9 for women: which should I buy?

The Game FF is lighter and narrow with FlyteFoam. The Gel-Dedicate 9 is roomier with GEL cushioning. Choose by foot width first.

How long do ASICS Game FF padel shoes last?

It depends on how often you play and the court. ASICS uses its High Abrasion Rubber on the outsole; check the tread at the forefoot, and replace the shoes when the pattern wears smooth and you start to slide.
