Bullpadel Hack Knit Men's Padel Shoes

6.5 · £69.95

The Bullpadel Hack Knit is a lightweight men's padel shoe from 2021, built around a one-piece knit upper that wraps the foot like a glove. It suits players who want a light, flexible, breathable shoe for club padel, and who don't need the heavier build of a modern Vibram-soled model.

It's an end-of-line shoe now, sold at a reduced price in the sizes shown in the buy box. If yours is there, it's a lot of shoe for the money. If it isn't, the current Hack shoe is further down the page.

What the knit upper does

Most padel shoes are stitched together from several panels. Bullpadel built the Hack Knit the other way: a one-piece knitted upper with no overlapping layers, which it said cut weight and gave a glove-like fit. Shops listed it as light, flexible and breathable, with an OrthoLite insole, a Phylon midsole and Bullpadel's Sock Fit and Rotox systems for a snug, stable feel.

Underneath, the pair in our photos has a herringbone tread. That's the pattern you want on a UK court: the zig-zag grooves clear sand and grip on damp turf, where shallow studs tend to skate. One retailer listed the sole as all-court, so it's comfortable indoors too.

Hack Knit or the newer Hack Vibram?

The name carried on but the shoe changed. Today's Hack Vibram 26I swaps the knit for a sock-like mesh with a rubber guard on the inside edge, adds a double-density midsole and puts a Vibram rubber outsole underneath. It's built for players who wear soles out and want maximum grip, and at about 431 g for a US 10.5 it feels planted rather than quick.

The Knit goes the other way: lighter and softer on the foot, and less armoured. For a social player or a lighter mover, that's often the more comfortable shoe.

Sizing a Bullpadel shoe

Bullpadel's UK sizes run one up on ASICS and HEAD: on the brands' own charts a foot of about 28 cm is a UK 9 in those brands and a UK 10 in Bullpadel. So check the size in the buy box against your foot length in centimetres, not against the number in your trainers. A knit upper gives a little, but not a whole size.

Who it suits

Players whose size is in stock and who want a light, comfortable shoe for weekly club games at a reduced price. It's a good second pair too, for indoor sessions or warm days. Newer players can pair it with a beginner padel racket and be properly kitted out for less than a premium shoe alone. A Karakal performance insole adds cushioning for long sessions, the rest of the range is on our mens padel shoes and padel shoes pages, and our guide to choosing a padel racket covers the other half of a first kit.

Not for you if

You play three or four times a week and wear soles out fast, or you want the most grip you can get. A lightweight 2021 knit shoe isn't built for that. The Hack Vibram 26I is.

Bullpadel Hack Knit Men's Padel Shoes: questions people ask

Is the Bullpadel Hack Knit the same shoe as the Hack Vibram?

No. The Hack Knit is a 2021 shoe with a one-piece knit upper and a lighter build. The Hack Vibram is the current Hack shoe, with a mesh upper, a double-density midsole and a Vibram outsole.

Is the Bullpadel Hack Knit good for beginners?

Yes. It is light, flexible and comfortable, and its herringbone tread grips well on sand-filled turf. Retailers listed it as suitable for all levels.

Hack Knit or Indiga 26V: which should a club player buy?

The Hack Knit was Bullpadel's top shoe in its day and has a more refined knit upper and OrthoLite insole. The Indiga is the current entry shoe. If the Hack Knit comes in your size, it is the better-built shoe of the two.

What size Bullpadel Hack Knit should I get?

Measure your foot in centimetres. Bullpadel's UK sizes run one above ASICS and HEAD, so a 28 cm foot is a UK 10 in Bullpadel and a UK 9 in those brands.

How do I keep a knit padel shoe in good condition?

Knock out the sand after each session, let the shoes dry at room temperature away from a radiator, and wear them only on court. Hard pavements wear the tread down quickly.
