Karakal Performance Insole 2025

£15

The Karakal Performance Insole 2025 is a gel-cushioned sports insole for players who want more shock absorption in a shoe, sold by Karakal for general sport rather than padel specifically. Stringers World lists Karakal Shock Absorbent Silicone GEL for cushioning and energy rebound, with a built-in stability control device to centre the foot.

Listings disagree on where the gel pads sit, so check what you are buying. We found no independent test.

What the gel is meant to do

Karakal describes shock-absorbing silicone gel that cushions impact and gives energy rebound, and a stability control device that helps centre the foot in the shoe. One listing puts gel impact zones at the heel and arch with air chambers, while another places the pads at the heel and forefoot. We cannot say which is right.

Padel is a stop-start sport on sand-dressed turf, so some players add an insole for cushioning. The shoe matters more, and our padel shoes page lists shoes with cushioning built in.

Card on where the Karakal Performance Insole gel sits: shock absorbent silicone gel, pads at heel and arch with air chambers in one listing and heel and forefoot in another, built-in stability device, marketed for general sport, no independent test

Fitting and which shoes

An insole replaces the factory one, so your shoe needs the room. Shoes with a removable insole, such as the Babolat Movea 2 or the K-Swiss Express Light 3, are the obvious fits, though neither page says so for this insole. Sizes are cut to fit, so check the size guide on the listing.

Who should skip it

Players with a medical foot problem, who should see a specialist, and anyone whose shoes already have a thick cushioned insole. The padel accessories range has the rest of the small kit, such as Karakal's cotton sweatband, and the padel racket range covers the racket side.

Not for you if

You want a padel-specific or tested insole. This is sold for general sport and no independent test was found.
