Babolat's UK page lists a breathable mesh upper that is 70 per cent recycled, with a Mesh Cooling System for ventilation, and a COMF+ insole made from 83 per cent recycled foam with extra heel cushioning. Under the heel sits the KPRS-X insert, which Babolat describes as highly cushioning EVA for shock protection.

Support comes from two places. The STRAP-LOCK belt wraps around the foot, including the tongue, to hold it in place, and an external rise in the midsole adds lateral reinforcement for side-to-side moves. Retailers disagree on the cushioning name, with some saying Kompressor, but Babolat's own page says KPRS-X and we follow that.

Babolat says the sole was developed with Michelin and has studs suitable for sand and artificial turf, with a grip and durability balance that suits the surface. UK padel courts are almost all sand-filled turf, so that is the right description for where you will play.

Our padel shoes page explains how studs, herringbone and omni soles behave on sand. A stud sole is the omni end of the range, which suits indoor and well-brushed courts well, and can feel slidey on very sandy outdoor courts, so Babolat's claim for sand is worth testing on your own court.

Babolat lists a standard fit and half sizes from UK 6 to 12.5. Its other padel shoes are also standard and true to size, so start with your usual size. The STRAP-LOCK belt makes the midfoot snug, so if you have a high instep, try them on or order your normal size and check.

Padelgids describes a comfortable fit for beginners and intermediates, which matches a shoe built around cushioning rather than a low, fast ride.

Both are Babolat shoes (the Movea 2 is also sold in its earlier 2025 colours) with a 10 mm drop, a standard fit and UK sizes 6 to 12.5. The Premura 3 is the lightweight attacking shoe (the entry shoe below both is the Jet Viva), with a Matryx Micro upper and a redesigned Michelin sole, and Babolat claims 7 per cent more support than the previous generation. The Movea 2 is the one with the cushioned heel and the strap.

If you move a lot at the net and want low weight, take the Premura. If you defend more, are on the heavier side or want protection for your heels over several matches a week, the Movea 2 is the logical pick. The earlier Jet Premura 2 Lebron is the lighter Lebron-edition option.

Players who want the lightest shoe on court. At about 290 g in a size 42 on one listing and a cushioned heel, it is not built for speed.
