Babolat Jet Premura 2 Padel Shoes, Juan Lebron (Men)
6 · £73.89
The Babolat Jet Premura 2 padel shoes in the Juan Lebron men's edition are Babolat's lightweight padel shoe for players who move a lot at the net: a Michelin-developed padel outsole, KPRS-X cushioning in the heel and a Matryx textile upper with two large ventilation windows. Padelgids puts the weight at about 350 g in a size 42.
We found no Babolat spec sheet for this shoe and no independent test, so this page sticks to what retailers agree on and says plainly what nobody publishes: the drop, the outsole pattern and a brand weight.
It is the previous generation. The Premura 3 is Babolat's 2026 shoe, and we compare the two below.

What the Jet Premura 2 Lebron is
Retailers describe a lighter, snugger shoe than the first Premura, built on a woven Matryx upper that one retailer says is more supportive than the Matryx 2.0 it replaced. The name of the textile varies between listings, Matryx Evo on some and Matryx Micro on others, so we call it a Matryx textile. Two large vents sit on the instep and a perforated insole helps airflow.
Underneath, KPRS-X is Babolat's heel cushioning system, described as an EVA insert that absorbs impact, and the midsole is EVA. The outsole is the part to care about, and we cover it next. The shoe carries Juan Lebron's colours, which one retailer describes as a vibrant, Lebron-inspired look in blue, white and yellow.

The outsole on sand-filled turf
Most UK padel courts are artificial turf with sand worked into the pile, which is hard on a tennis shoe's smooth sole and a running shoe's foam. The Premura 2 has a padel-specific sole developed with Michelin, which retailers describe as balancing grip and durability, with flex grooves for freedom of movement.
What nobody publishes is the pattern. Herringbone, omni and hybrid soles behave differently on sand, and our padel shoes page explains the difference. Without a published pattern, we can only say that it is a padel-specific sole and should be fine on sand-dressed courts, which is what matters most.
Premura 2 sizing and fit
Retailers list half sizes from 6 to 12.5 and call the fit secure and ergonomic, and several say it is snugger than the original Premura. Babolat's other padel shoes are listed as a standard fit that stays true to size, so start with your usual size and check the size chart on the listing.
If you sit between two sizes, a snug textile upper argues for the larger one, particularly if you wear thicker socks. We found no published width, so wide feet should try a shoe built for them before committing.
Premura 2 or Premura 3?
The Premura 3 is Babolat's 2026 shoe. Babolat lists a Matryx Micro upper, an Ortholite HybridPlus Bio insole made partly from recycled material, a redesigned Michelin padel outsole, a 10 mm drop and a claim of 7 per cent more support than the previous generation. That claim comes from Babolat's own test and has not been checked independently.
The Premura 2 does not publish a drop or a support figure, but it is the same family and, according to retailers, lighter than the first version. If you want the current model, the Premura 3 is the one to buy. If you want the Lebron colours, the Premura 2 is a reasonable shoe, and if cushioning and stability matter more than low weight, Babolat's Movea 2, or its discontinued predecessor the original Movea, is the other shoe to try, and the entry Jet Viva is Babolat's simpler option.
| Shoe | What it is | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Jet Premura 2 Lebron (this shoe) | Michelin sole, KPRS-X heel, Matryx textile | Players who want the Lebron look and a lighter shoe |
| Premura 3 | 2026 model, Matryx Micro, Michelin redesigned | Intermediate and advanced attackers |
| Movea 2 | Michelin stud sole | Players on very sandy outdoor courts |
| Premura 2 Junior | Junior version, padel sole with Michelin | Juniors in coaching programmes |

Who should skip the Premura 2
Players who want a measured, tested shoe or a lot of cushioning. We have no weight from Babolat, no drop and no independent test, so the page rests on retail descriptions. If you play several times a week on hard courts, our padel shoes for men page has options with more padding to compare.
Not for you if
You need published specifications or have wide feet. Babolat does not list a drop or width for this shoe, and retailers call the fit snug. Our padel shoes page explains how to choose by sole and fit.
Setting up your kit around the Premura 2
Juan Lebron's signature racket is the Viper Juan Lebron 3.1, and if you are matching the kit, a padel racket from the Babolat range finishes the set. Fresh balls help whichever you pick, and our padel balls page explains how quickly they fade.
Our padel grips page and the padel bags range cover the rest, and a bag with a separate shoe compartment keeps sand off the rest of your kit. Our guide to choosing a padel racket helps if you are also picking a racket.
