Babolat Movea Padel Shoes, Men's (Original)

6.5 · £59.70

The Babolat Movea padel shoes are the original men's version of Babolat's stability shoe, built around a Michelin padel sole, a KPRS-X EVA heel insert and two Power Straps across the midfoot. They are discontinued, and the Movea 2 has replaced them, but some shops still list them and they suit players who find a pair in their size and prefer the earlier design.

The only spec source we could find is a retailer listing that marks the shoe as discontinued. It gives no weight, drop, sizes or season, so this page sticks to what that listing says and does not guess the rest.

If you are choosing between the two, read the comparison below, and check the sizes in stock before you buy.

  • Michelin padel sole
  • KPRS-X EVA heel insert
  • Two Power Straps
  • Knitted forefoot, mesh
  • OrthoLite die-cut insole

What the original Movea has

The listing describes a Michelin padel sole with a dynamic grip tread for sand and artificial turf, two grooves in the forefoot for flexibility and extra thickness in the high-wear areas. The upper is a technical knitted forefoot, designed to feel like a slipper, with breathable mesh and reinforcements for durability.

Underneath, a KPRS-X EVA insert in the heel protects against impact and an OrthoLite die-cut insole adds comfort and breathability. Two Power Straps hold the midfoot and two lateral reinforcements help when you change direction.

Movea or Movea 2?

The Movea 2 keeps the Michelin sole and KPRS-X heel insert and changes the rest: an MCS mesh upper that is 70 per cent recycled, a COMF+ insole, a STRAP-LOCK belt that wraps the foot and tongue, and a published 10 mm drop and standard fit.

Babolat's own page for the Movea 2 lists UK sizes 6 to 12.5. The original's listing gives no sizes, so check the size chart and stock before you commit. If both are available at a similar price, the Movea 2 (also sold in its 2025 colours) is the current design with the fuller specification; the original is the one to take if you simply find it cheaper.

Buying a discontinued shoe

Check what size is actually left, since discontinued shoes often have gaps in the range, and check the return terms. Our listing is under the name Babolat Mens Movea Padel Shoes, so look at the photos for the colour you are getting.

On sand-filled turf, a Michelin padel sole is the right kind of shoe, and our padel shoes page explains how tread patterns work. If the original is not in your size, our padel shoes for men page lists others.

Not for you if

You need exact specifications or a specific size. The listing gives no weight, drop, size range or season, and the shoe is discontinued, so stock can be patchy. The Movea 2 has a fuller published specification.

What to pair with the Movea

A stability shoe suits a controlling game, so a round or soft racket from our padel racket range such as the Stima Vita is a natural partner. Fresh balls from the padel balls page and a tacky overgrip from the padel grips page finish the set.

A bag with a separate shoe compartment keeps sand off the rest of your kit, and the padel bags page lists them. Our guide to choosing a padel racket helps if you are picking a racket too.
