Retailer copy is consistent on the main points. The upper is mesh, with reinforcement for support, and the sole is a padel-specific one developed with Michelin, which one UK retailer describes as herringbone. Rubber over the forefoot protects the toe from the dragging that comes with learning to move on sand-filled turf. In the heel there is KPRS-X, Babolat's cushioning system, over EVA foam.

It is described as a miniature of the adult shoe rather than a cut-down one, which matters because a child who plays twice a week wants the same grip as an adult. The adult shoe is the Jet Premura 2 Juan Lebron, and the junior takes its colours from the same family.

Sizes vary by colourway. One listing runs from UK 13.5 up to 5.5, and another reaches UK 6.5 (EU 40.5), so a child near the top of the range should check the specific colour before ordering. Retailers do not say whether the shoe runs large or small, and we have found no published width.

Children grow out of shoes before they wear them out, so leave a thumb's width in front of the longest toe and no more. A padel shoe that is too big slides on the sand and rubs, which defeats the point of a shoe with grip. The size range chart below shows the pairs we could confirm.

There is also a second Babolat listing, the Junior Jet Premura 2 2026. We cannot confirm that it is a different shoe from this one, and the likeliest explanation is a newer colourway of the same model.

Anyone who needs published numbers, because Babolat does not list a weight, a drop or a width for this shoe. A child who plays once a month on a club's artificial turf may do fine in trainers for now, though a shoe built for sand is kinder on the ankles once they play regularly.
