The Dunlop Viper Dry replacement grip is a perforated one-piece grip that goes straight onto a bare handle, for players who want a dry base grip that moves moisture away from the hand. It is sold one grip per pack, in black or white.

Reviews are split. One Tennis Warehouse reviewer found very good absorbency with some tack, while another called it the worst replacement grip they had used. Dunlop sells it for tennis, so padel use is our reading.

What the replacement grip is

Retailers describe perforations designed to pull moisture off the hand, with a name taken from the sand viper of the desert, and a pitch at aggressive, attacking players who want control. One source puts the thickness at 1.8 mm, far thicker than the 0.6 mm Viper Dry overgrip.

Merchant of Tennis files the white version under padel accessories, which is as close as we found to padel positioning.

Replacement grip or overgrip?

A replacement grip is a base layer: you strip the old one and wind this on. If you only want a fresher surface, the Viper Dry 3 pack overgrip is the thin wrap, and the Gecko-Tac replacement grip is the tackier alternative base.
