Head Base Backpack 17L Green (261435)
£20.07
The Head Base Backpack 17L green (261435) is a small backpack for padel and tennis players who carry a racket and little else, with a 17-litre volume and a racket compartment.
It's the green colour of the Base 17L line. We saw 261435 on only one Decathlon page, while other retailers list navy as 261335, black as 261235 and pink as 261036, so we couldn't confirm the green code on Head's own page.

The green 17L, and what we could and could not confirm
One listing gives 54 x 33 x 13 cm and names a racket compartment, a main compartment, a front zip pocket and two side mesh pockets. Another says two more zipped compartments. The Spanish padel retailer we found describes a main compartment with front and side pockets and no shoe space.
Racket counts range from one to four across pages, and the thermal pocket claim is made by some and contradicted by others. Treat it as a day bag for a racket, a towel and a bottle.
| If you | Look at |
|---|---|
| Want the green colour | This Head Base Backpack 17L |
| Want the 2025 listing in other colours | Head Base Backpack 2025 |
| Want to carry up to six rackets | Head Base Padel Bag M |
| Want 25 litres and a shoe pocket | HEAD's 25-litre backpack |
Not for you if
You need to carry more than a racket or two, or a confirmed thermal pocket. The listings disagree, and 17 litres is small.
Size in practice
At 54 cm tall it clears a 45.5 cm racket, the FIP maximum length. Compare it against the rest of the padel bag range if you need more room, and see our padel racket range for what goes inside.
Packing list
Overgrips from padel grips, a can of padel balls, and shoes from padel shoes if you've got the space. For a cover instead of a bag, see the Head racket cover and the Edge backpack
