Head x4 Pressuriser for Padel Balls

£32.35

The Head x4 pressuriser for padel balls holds four balls under pressure so they stay lively between sessions, and it's for players who open a tube and play again within a few days.

Most shops give a gauge target of 29 PSI, and a few quote a 22 to 34 PSI range. Retailers disagree on whether a pump is in the box, so check before you buy.

How a pressuriser works

You put the balls in, seal the cap on its O-ring, pump to the gauge target, then release the excess before opening it. A former coach who reviewed it says pumping to 29 PSI after each session got three or four sessions from a can that used to last about two. That's one person's account and not a lab figure.

The Head X3 is the three-ball version. Other brands differ, so don't carry the figure over: Bounce's pressuriser uses 24 PSI for padel balls.

Not for you if

You play once a week or less, or you open a fresh tube each time. A pressuriser costs about as much as several tubes.

Table of what retailers list for the Head x4 pressuriser: holds four tennis or padel balls, gauge target 29 PSI at most shops and 22 to 34 PSI elsewhere, pump included at some shops, cap with O-ring and a three-ball X3 version

Is the pump included?

Decathlon UK, Tennis Warehouse and Tennis Nuts say yes, and Stringers World says no. Our listing doesn't say, so ask us before you order. Browse more padel balls and add padel accessories while you're there.

Care

Keep the cap's O-ring clean and don't leave it in a hot car. Pair it with a padel racket upgrade, or a spare tube from the padel bag kit list.
