Raquex Wristbands (Cotton Terry Pair)

The material is cotton terry cloth, which is towelling, and sellers describe it as soft and stretchy. It goes in the washing machine. The range is sold in seven colours across two widths, and the colours we saw named are black, blue, grey and white.

That is about all there is. Thickness, weight and the cotton percentage are missing, which is normal for a plain sweatband sold on price, and it means the practical test is a session on court.

The standard band is listed at about 8 cm and sits between the Head 2.5-inch pair and the long bands. The wide one is a different listing: see the double-width Raquex pair at about 13 cm, which is close to the Head 5-inch wristband.

A shorter band suits players who want it out of the way of the wrist and the racket, and a longer one catches more of the forearm. For a single band, the Black Crown single wristband is another route.

Wear one on the hitting wrist to catch sweat before it reaches the handle. Wash cotton bands after a few sessions, since salt builds up and stops them absorbing. If the handle is still slick after that, a fresh overgrip from the padel grips range helps more than another band.
