Siux Electra ST3 Go Padel Racket

£62.82

The Siux Electra ST3 Go is the gentler member of the 2024 Electra family: a teardrop for intermediate players who want a blend of power and control while they develop their game. Padelful lists a 3K carbon face over a hard EVA core, a carbon and fibreglass frame, a medium-hard feel and a weight of 355 to 375 g, and scores its sweet spot 8.4 and rebound 8.3.

Go is Siux's softer tier, and ST3 means the third generation of the Stupaczuk Electra line, so this is a 2024 racket. Its firmer sibling is the Electra ST3 Stupa Pro.

Padelful's tester calls it a versatile racket for intermediate players. A few retailers say beginners, but the evidence points to intermediate.

What the Electra ST3 Go is, and is not

Siux sells each family in tiers. Pro is the demanding racket for advanced players, and Go sits at the forgiving end. The ST3 Go keeps the Electra shape and the hard EVA core but swaps the 15K face of the Pro for 3K carbon and uses a carbon and fibreglass frame, which Padelful credits with a sturdy, durable feel and a comfortable grip.

What it is not is a soft beginner racket. A hard core and a medium-hard feel make it firmer than the usual first racket, so we class it as intermediate, in line with Padelful, Padel Nuestro and most retailers. One Dutch retailer calls it suitable for both beginners and advanced players, which is the sort of listing you should check before relying on it.

ST3 Go or ST3 Pro?

The Go gives up pace and precision for a bigger sweet spot; the Fenix family's equivalent is the controlled Fenix Go 4. On Padelful the ST3 Pro scores 8.9 for power and 9.4 for control against the Go's 7.4 and 8.0, while the Go scores 8.4 for sweet spot against 8.0 and 8.3 for rebound against 7.8.

That trade favours players whose contact is not yet reliable. If you are hitting the middle of the racket most of the time and want the Electra's precision, take the Pro. If you want the racket to help when you do not, take the Go.

How the Electra ST3 Go plays

Padelful's reviewer found a racket that balances power and control, with a higher sweet spot from the teardrop shape, a forgiving response on off-centre hits, agile handling from its weight distribution and consistent, reassuring feedback on contact. The page lists no weaknesses, and its lowest score is power at 7.4.

Expect a medium-hard, predictable racket that will not hand you free smashes. It is a touch slower in the hands than the Pro (8.0 for manoeuvrability against 8.6) but kinder when you mishit.

Sources disagree on two small points: some listings call the shape a hybrid, and weights are given as a range. We use the teardrop description and 355 to 375 g from Padelful.

Who should skip the Electra ST3 Go

Complete beginners and advanced attackers. A hard core is too firm for a first racket, and the Go's power score of 7.4 will not satisfy a hard hitter. The best padel racket for beginners page lists softer first rackets, and the advanced padel rackets list has firmer, more powerful frames.

Not for you if

You have just started playing, or you want to finish points with the racket. A hard EVA core and a medium-hard feel are not beginner-friendly, and power is the lowest of the Go's scores. Our control padel rackets page has friendlier round frames.

Setting up an Electra ST3 Go

A tacky overgrip such as the Head Pro overgrip is the usual first upgrade, and our padel grips page explains when to replace a grip instead. Frame tape from the racket protector range is worth fitting before the first match, because a teardrop head meets the glass more often than you expect.

A tube of Bullpadel Next balls is a sensible companion, and the padel balls page explains how quickly pressure fades. The padel bags page has bags with a thermal pocket, and court shoes for sand-dressed courts are on our padel shoes page.

To compare with other brands, the best padel racket for intermediate players list and the full padel racket range are the places to look, and our guide to choosing a padel racket explains shape and balance.

Siux Electra ST3 Go Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Siux Electra ST3 Go the same as the Electra Go 3?

Yes. Shops write it as Electra ST3 Go, Electra Go ST3 and Electra Go 3. It is the 2024 Go racket in the Electra line.

Is the Siux Electra ST3 Go good for beginners?

Not really. Padelful and most retailers aim it at intermediate players, and the hard EVA core is firmer than a typical first racket. One retailer calls it suitable for beginners, but we would not rely on that.

What is the difference between the Electra ST3 Go and the ST3 Pro?

The Go has a 3K carbon face and the Pro a 15K face. Padelful scores the Pro higher for power and control and the Go higher for sweet spot and rebound.

How heavy is the Siux Electra ST3 Go?

Padelful and listings give 355 to 375 g with a medium balance. Siux does not print a single weight for most of its rackets.

How does Padelful score the Siux Electra ST3 Go?

Overall 8.0: power 7.4, control 8.0, rebound 8.3, manoeuvrability 8.0 and sweet spot 8.4, with a medium-hard feel.

Is the Electra ST3 Go still current?

No. It is the 2024 edition. The current Electra is the Electra Pro in Fire Red and Shadow Red.
