Tenax Bazooka 18K Padel Racket

£179

The Tenax Bazooka 18K padel racket is a diamond-shaped attacker with a high balance, an 18K carbon face and an ultra hard EVA core. It is built for players who finish points at the net.

The listing gives a 38 mm profile and a carbon frame. It gives no weight in grams, so we cannot say how heavy it feels, which matters on a head-heavy shape.

What the Bazooka 18K is

Diamond is the most demanding shape: the weight and the sweet spot both sit towards the top of the head. The seller says the high balance adds momentum for overheads and the shape adds power, which is the standard trade for less forgiveness.

An 18K face with an ultra hard core is the firm end of the range, and it asks for clean contact. We found one source, so these are the seller's words, not test results.

Bazooka against the other Tenax rackets

The nearest alternative is the Matador 12K, a teardrop with a medium balance that is easier to swing. For a forgiving round racket, look at the Guardian Full Carbon.

Who should skip it

Newer players, and anyone with a sore elbow or shoulder: a high balance and a hard core return more shock and punish off-centre hits. Whichever you pick, add padel balls, a fresh padel grip and a pair of padel shoes. Browse every padel racket or our guide to choosing a padel racket.

Not for you if

You are still learning to hit consistently, or you want a racket that forgives mishits.
