One SwiftGrip base grip and one overgrip, so you can strip a worn handle back to bare frame and build up fresh rather than just adding another overgrip over a tired base. 4ON says the textured pattern cuts vibration through the handle and gives a more consistent feel session to session; that's the brand's own claim, and we haven't seen it tested independently.

Fitting feedback we've seen from other buyers is mixed: some get a solid, durable grip out of it, others find the base layer fiddly to fit neatly first time. If you've never changed a base grip before, go slowly and don't worry if the first attempt isn't perfect; a fresh overgrip on top hides most small wrinkles.

Strip the old base grip off completely before you start, clean any sticky residue from the handle, then wrap the new base grip from the butt cap upward with a slight overlap, pulling it taut as you go. Add the included overgrip on top the same way once the base is set. Take your time on the first wrap; a slow, even pass beats a fast, bunched one.

Anyone whose base grip has gone hard, slick or torn underneath a worn overgrip, not just players topping up a fresh overgrip on a handle that's otherwise fine.
