Babolat Natural Leather Replacement Grip

The difference matters. A replacement grip goes straight onto the bare handle and gives the racket its basic shape, and an overgrip is a thin wrap fitted on top. At 1.45 mm the leather is around three times as thick as Babolat's My Overgrip, so it changes the handle size by more than any overgrip does.

Retailers say leather is stiffer and less absorbent than polyurethane, which is why it feels dry. Many players fit an overgrip on top, such as the Comfort Padel overgrip, to get tack.

The grip is multi-sport and tennis-branded, so we have not seen Babolat claim padel fit. Padel handles come in common sizes, and the replacement must match the handle you have, because a base grip that is too thick will not wrap cleanly.
