Babolat RH Pro Padel Bag

£49.94

The Babolat RH Pro padel bag is a 62-litre racket bag for club and league players who carry four rackets plus shoes and a change of clothes. Babolat lists three main compartments, one of them insulated, a breathable shoe pocket, two side pockets, four internal pockets, two handles and padded shoulder straps, in recycled polyester that is water-repellent.

It is a rare case where the brand publishes the full spec, so the numbers below are Babolat's. The one thing it leaves out is weight.

  • 62 litres, four rackets
  • 63 x 37 x 30 cm
  • Three compartments, one insulated
  • Breathable shoe pocket
  • Padded shoulder straps and fence hook
  • 100% recycled polyester

What fits in the RH Pro

Start with the footprint. At 63 cm long, 37 cm wide and 30 cm deep, the bag lies on its side like a classic holdall, and a 45.5 cm padel racket fits lengthways with room to spare, which should make four rackets a loose fit rather than a squeeze. The compartments are the useful part: three main ones, so rackets, clothes and wet kit stay apart.

The insulated compartment is one of those three, not the whole bag. Babolat does not say what the insulation is or how much it protects, so treat it as a sleeve that takes the edge off a hot car boot, which is the thing racket cores dislike, and not as a cool box. The breathable shoe pocket is the other detail worth caring about on sand courts.

Carrying it, and what it does not tell you

Two ergonomic handles and two adjustable padded straps let you carry it by hand or on the back, and a hook on the bag hangs it on the court fence. The exterior is recycled polyester that Babolat calls ultra-resistant and water-repellent, and the lining is a recycled, dye-free white one, so a leaking bottle will show.

Babolat does not list a weight, which matters for a 62-litre bag you carry up stairs after a match. Nor does it say whether the shoulder straps can be tucked away. If those matter, check the listing for the colourway you want.

RH Pro, RH Perf or the Juan Lebron edition?

The RH Perf 2nd Gen is the smaller, plainer bag, 52 litres with a single main compartment and no shoe pocket listed. The RH Pro Juan Lebron has the same shell and the same 62 litres, and Babolat's own table lists no insulated compartment for it.

That last point is worth knowing before you pay for the signature edition: on paper it gives you the colours and takes away the insulation, and the white, black and red RH Pro Technical does the same. StarVie's Pro Master lists two thermal compartments instead. If you would rather go smaller, the 35-litre Court S holds two rackets.

Who should skip the RH Pro

Anyone who carries one racket and a bottle. Sixty-two litres is a lot of bag for a light kit, and it will look and feel oversized next to a smaller holdall. A smaller one from our padel bag range will do.

Not for you if

You want a small bag, or you expect cool-box insulation. This is a 63 cm holdall with one insulated compartment out of three, and no weight is published. The Court S is the compact option.

Packing the RH Pro

Rackets first. The padel racket range covers every shape, and Babolat's Viper Juan Lebron 3.1 is a good partner for a bag that carries four. Balls go in a side pocket, and the padel balls page explains how quickly a tube loses pressure once it is open.

Spare overgrips from the padel grips page fit the internal pockets. Court shoes go in the breathable pocket, and the padel shoes page covers what to look for, including Babolat's Premura 3. If you are still choosing a racket, our guide to choosing a padel racket is the place to start.

Babolat RH Pro Padel Bag: questions people ask

How many rackets does the Babolat RH Pro padel bag hold?

Babolat lists four. The bag is 63 x 37 x 30 cm and 62 litres, so four rackets leave room for shoes and clothes.

Is the Babolat RH Pro bag insulated?

One of its three main compartments is insulated. Babolat does not say what the insulation is, so it is a thermal sleeve rather than a cool box.

Does the RH Pro have a shoe pocket?

Yes. Babolat describes a breathable shoe pocket, which keeps sand and damp away from the rest of the kit.

What is the difference between the RH Pro and the RH Pro Juan Lebron?

They share a 62-litre shell and the same pockets. Babolat lists one insulated compartment on the RH Pro and none on the Juan Lebron edition.

Is the RH Pro bigger than the RH Perf?

Yes, 62 litres against 52. Both hold four rackets, but the Pro has three main compartments and a shoe pocket.

Can I hang the Babolat RH Pro on the court fence?

Yes. Babolat says the bag has a hook for hanging it on the fence.
