Head Pro Grip DZ Overgrip, Black
£7.50
The Head Pro Grip DZ overgrip, black, is a very thin, soft, dry wrap for players who sweat and want a fresh surface without much tack.
HEAD describes the Pro Grip as an ultra thin, especially soft dry overwrap with strong sweat absorption. We couldn't find out what DZ means, and the 0.45 mm figure we found belongs to the blue Pro Grip.

A dry wrap, not a tacky one
HEAD's page calls the Pro Grip an ultra thin, especially soft, dry overwrap with optimum sweat absorption. Tennis Warehouse lists the blue one at 0.45 mm, three to a pack, and regional HEAD pages describe a textured surface with raised patterns.
A reviewer found it absorbs sweat well but has very little tackiness. A Danish HEAD page labels the blue grip DZ, but nothing we found explains the letters.
| If you | Look at |
|---|---|
| Want a thin dry wrap | This Head Pro Grip DZ, black |
| Want a tacky padel wrap | Head's Padel Pro wraps |
| Want a perforated tacky wrap | the perforated Prime Tour |
| Want a thick absorbing base | the Dual Absorbing base grip |
Not for you if
You want a tacky wrap. HEAD pitches this as dry, and a reviewer found little tack.
Wrapping it
Peel the backing, wind from the butt cap with a slight overlap and seal the end with tape. Because it's so thin, it hardly changes the handle size. If you want tack, look at padel grips with a tackier finish, and see padel accessories.
Pairing
A dry wrap goes well over a cushioned base. Browse the padel racket page for frames, and keep spares in a padel bag.
