HEAD Tour Large Padel Bag

£63.99

The HEAD Tour Large padel bag is a 40-litre racket bag for club players: 60 × 28.5 × 36.5 cm, three main compartments for up to seven rackets, a CCT+ thermal lining in one of them, a dedicated shoe compartment and four pockets for everything else.

"Large" and "L" are the same bag. HEAD names it the Tour Padel Bag L, and some shops, Tennis Nuts among them, spell the size out. What differs between listings is the colour and the year, not the dimensions.

Where everything goes

The Tennis Nuts listing for the orange bag is the most detailed we found. Three main compartments, one of them with the CCT+ lining; two large zipped pockets and a phone pocket on the outside; a zipped pocket inside for keys and a wallet; and a shoe compartment of its own. The outer fabric is 90% polyester and 10% PU, and the top handles have been redesigned for easier carrying.

Other shops quote slightly different fabric blends, so take the material line as a guide. What doesn't change is the layout: rackets in the main compartments, shoes below, small things in pockets where you can reach them without unpacking.

How a padel racket sits in a 60 cm bag

A legal padel racket is 45.5 cm at most, so there's about 14 cm of spare length. It's a comfortable fit rather than a snug one, and that's the reason to put each frame in a cover from our padel racket covers. Otherwise it slides about on the walk to the court and the frame takes the knocks.

Tennis Nuts says seven rackets. An older listing for the same bag put "9 racket" in its title, so you'll see both numbers. We'd trust seven and expect two or three to be the real-world load.

Which listing is which

We carry several listings of this bag. They are the same family but not always the same season, so pick by colour and year.

Not for you if

You carry one racket, ride a bike to the court or want a bag you can wear comfortably on your back all day. One shop lists a backpack carry system for this bag family and another mentions none, so don't buy it expecting a backpack. The 25 litre backpack is the better answer.

Who it suits

Players with two or three rackets and a car, club regulars who want a thermal compartment for the racket they care about, and anyone upgrading from a basic cover and a carrier bag. Beginners could pair it with a beginner racket and grow into the space.

Smaller? See HEAD's Tour Backpack 25L. Bigger? The Pro X Padel Bag L is 45 litres. Every option sits on our padel bags page.

Packing it for the week

CCT+ compartment for your match racket, second racket in a cover next to it. Shoes from padel shoes in their own compartment, balls from padel balls and a spare grip in the outside pockets, phone and keys in the inside pocket. If you're still choosing the rackets, start at padel racket.

HEAD Tour Large Padel Bag: questions people ask

Is the HEAD Tour Large padel bag the same as the Tour L?

Yes. HEAD calls it the Tour Padel Bag L, and some retailers write Large. The size and layout are the same: 40 litres and 60 × 28.5 × 36.5 cm.

How many rackets fit in the HEAD Tour Large padel bag?

Tennis Nuts lists seven across the three main compartments. An older listing said nine in its title, so expect to see both. Two or three is the usual load.

How many pockets does the HEAD Tour Large padel bag have?

Two large outside zip pockets, one outside phone pocket and one inside zip pocket, plus the dedicated shoe compartment.

Does the HEAD Tour Large padel bag keep rackets cool or warm?

One of the three main compartments has a CCT+ thermal lining, which protects rackets against extreme temperatures. It slows the change rather than stopping it.

Can I use the HEAD Tour Large padel bag for pickleball?

Tennis Nuts lists it as suitable for padel and pickleball. Pickleball paddles are short enough to sit comfortably in the compartments.
