HEAD Tour Racket Bag S

£51.99

The HEAD Tour Racket Bag S is a slim 30-litre shoulder bag for players who carry one or two rackets and little else: 76.5 × 33 × 10.5 cm, one main compartment, two small pockets and an adjustable padded strap.

It's a tennis bag. Retailers list it for three racquets, but padel rackets are thicker, so two is the sensible number for padel. If that's your load, it's the lightest and tidiest way to carry them.

A slim bag, not a kit bag

Tennis Nuts lists one spacious main compartment, an external zipped pocket for valuables and an inside mesh pocket. The outer fabric is 75% polyester and 25% PU, and the bag carries by an adjustable padded shoulder strap. It doesn't have a dedicated shoe compartment, and HEAD's page says as much.

A few shops describe backpack-style carrying or top handles on some colours, so check the photos if that matters to you. The Tennis Nuts listing we read mentions only the strap.

Three racquets, but how many padel rackets?

The listing says three rackets, and it's a tennis number. A padel racket is shorter at 45.5 cm but thicker: the FIP allows up to 38 mm. Three of those add up to 114 mm, a little over the bag's 10.5 cm depth. The fabric gives, and plenty of padel rackets are thinner than the cap, so three may squeeze in, but it won't be comfortable. Two is the realistic load.

Put each racket in a cover from our padel racket covers and you'll lose a few millimetres to the cover too, which is one more reason to stop at two.

You need to carry shoes, a towel and a change of clothes in the same bag. There's no shoe compartment and only 10.5 cm of depth. Look at a backpack or the Tour L instead.

Three tennis racquets, but padel rackets are thicker. Rackets at the FIP maximum thickness of 38 mm. Many are thinner and the fabric gives a little, but three padel rackets are a tight fit; two is the realistic load. Thickness cap from the FIP Rules of Padel; bag depth 10.5 cm from the Tennis Nuts listing. Our arithmetic, drawn to scale.

Who it suits

Players who walk to a nearby court, who already keep their kit in a gym bag, or who want a second slim bag for a spare racket. Pair it with a padel racket in a cover and carry shoes separately. If you're still choosing your first racket, our beginner rackets page is the place to start.

Packing it

Two covered rackets in the main compartment, a tube of padel balls in the inside mesh pocket, and a spare grip and your keys in the outer zip pocket. For anything bigger, browse all our padel bags, and see our padel shoes range for the footwear that has to travel separately.

HEAD Tour Racket Bag S: questions people ask

How many padel rackets fit in the HEAD Tour Racket Bag S?

Two comfortably. It is listed for three tennis racquets, but padel rackets are up to 38 mm thick and the bag is only 10.5 cm deep, so three padel rackets are a tight squeeze.

Is the HEAD Tour Racket Bag S a padel bag?

No, it is a tennis racquet bag. Padel rackets are shorter than tennis racquets, so they fit lengthways with plenty of room.

Does the HEAD Tour Racket Bag S have a shoe compartment?

No. HEAD lists one main compartment, an outside zipped pocket and an inside mesh pocket.

Is the HEAD Tour Racket Bag S the same as the Tour S?

Yes. Retailers call it the Tour Racquet Bag S, the Tour Racket Bag S or simply the Tour S. It is the same 30 litre bag in different colours.

How do you carry the HEAD Tour Racket Bag S?

By an adjustable padded shoulder strap on the Tennis Nuts listing. A few shops mention top handles or a backpack carry on some colours, so check your colourway.
