K-Swiss Court Express 2 Clay Women's Shoes

3 · £49.98

The K-Swiss Court Express 2 Clay women's shoes are an entry-level clay-court shoe that retailers sell for padel and tennis, for players building their game rather than buying a performance pair. Listings describe an Aosta 7.0 rubber outsole with a herringbone tread, a CMEVA midsole with K-EVA cushioning and a lace-up fit shaped for the female foot.

Listings disagree on the upper, from leather and mesh to synthetic leather, and several product codes are in circulation, so check the code on the pair you order.

What the listings say

Decathlon, Padel Nuestro and Tienda Padel Point agree on the outline: a lace-up shoe with an Aosta 7.0 non-marking outsole, a cushioned midsole and a women's last. One retailer says it is designed for female padel players who want comfort on court, and it is sold as a clay shoe for tennis too. Colours include white and blue and a white, mint and black version.

Where they split is the upper. One calls it breathable leather and mesh, another synthetic leather, and the men's twin is listed as 100 per cent polyester mesh. We cannot say which is right for this pair.

Table comparing listings of the K-Swiss Court Express 2 Clay: women's with leather and mesh or synthetic leather upper and herringbone sole against the men's page with polyester mesh and a zigzag sole pattern

Herringbone or zigzag on sand

Padel Nuestro describes the men's shoe's sole as a zigzag pattern, while women's listings say herringbone. The two are close relatives, and both are clay treads that work on sand-dressed turf. A dedicated padel sole is the better tool, and the Express Light 3 women's is K-Swiss's padel-specific option with a deeper herringbone.

The men's twin has its own page, the Court Express 2 Clay men's. Do not confuse either with the Hypercourt Express 2, which is a separate model.

Who should skip it

Players who want a padel-specific sole, a known upper or a published weight. See the padel shoes for women page for padel-made alternatives such as Lotto's Superrapida 200 III and the padel shoes page for the range. A first-timer can start with the best padel racket for beginners page, and the full padel racket range covers the rest.

Not for you if

You want a confirmed upper or a padel-specific sole. Listings disagree on the first, and this is a clay shoe.

K-Swiss Court Express 2 Clay Women's Shoes: questions people ask

Is the K-Swiss Court Express 2 Clay a padel shoe?
