£41.70

The Karakal Pro Tour Fifty 2.2 Short padel bag is a compact racket bag for players who carry up to four short rackets and a pair of shoes. Retailers list it at 60 x 25 x 30 cm, with two side racket pockets, an internal security pouch and wet/dry compartments, in black/grey, black/blue and other colours.

Listings describe it as suitable for padel, racketball or pickleball, and we found no Karakal sheet to settle how many compartments it has.

Size, and what fits

At 60 cm long the bag is sized for short rackets, which suits padel, racketball and pickleball but not tennis. Four rackets is the stated capacity, which is a lot for a social player and sensible for a club regular.

Against Karakal's Pro Tour 30 backpack, the Short bag is longer and shallower, so it sits flat in a boot rather than on your back.

Pockets and compartments

Listings describe two side racket pockets, one with accessory storage, an internal security pouch for a phone or keys, and wet/dry compartments for shoes and dirty kit. Retailers disagree on whether the wet/dry space and a separate cargo hold are two things or one, so we have not given a count.

Compare it with the older Fifty 2.1, whose listings give the same size and features. We found nothing that separates the two on paper.

Who should skip it

Players with more than four rackets, or who want a thermal pocket. The padel bags page lists bigger and padel-specific bags, and Babolat's RH Pro bag is a larger alternative. The full padel racket range shows what you might carry in it, and the padel accessories range fills the pockets.

Not for you if

You carry a tennis racket as well. At 60 cm this is a short bag for padel-length rackets.
