Karakal X-Tak Overgrip 3 Pack
£5.70
The Karakal X-Tak overgrip 3 pack is three thin tacky overgrips for players who want a secure, sticky hold. Padelspeed lists 0.6 mm thickness and a tacky surface with micro breathing holes.
Karakal is a squash and racket-sport brand, and we found no padel claim for the X-Tak. It is a standard thin overwrap that fits over a base grip.

The tacky one
Tack helps when the handle gets damp, because the surface grips your hand rather than relying on you to squeeze. The X-Tak is Karakal's tacky overgrip, at 0.6 mm and with micro breathing holes, and its sister X-Dri is the dry-feel version of the same thickness.
Babolat's tacky equivalent is the My Overgrip, a little thinner at 0.55 mm, and the thicker Comfort Padel is the cushioned option.

How often to change it
Karakal publishes no life figure, so change the wrap when it goes smooth or starts to peel. Thin overgrips wear fastest on a racket you play with every week, and the padel grips page explains the difference between replacing the overgrip and the base. The padel accessories range has more small kit.
Who should skip it
Players who dislike a sticky feel, and anyone who wants a padel-specific grip. A tacky wrap can also pick up dirt on a sandy court. The full padel racket range lists rackets, and our guide to choosing a padel racket covers handle size.
Not for you if
You like a dry feel. Look at the X-Dri instead.
