Lacoste L-Max Padel Racket

£320

The Lacoste L-Max padel racket is a 360 g carbon racket from the Lacoste range, built with Tecnifibre for players who want power from the back of the court. Lacoste's US page calls it a diamond for maximum power release, with Spin Skin 3D texturing on the face.

Sellers do not agree on the shape or the foam. PDH Sports and Padel Reference list a teardrop head, and the foam is called rigid by one seller and soft by another.

What the L-Max is meant to do

Lacoste lists the L-Max at 360 g, and retailers describe a neutral or even balance. Padel Reference describes an 18K carbon surface, while Padelproshop says the face is 100% carbon. Sources list Tecnifibre's X-Speed, Spin Skin 3D texturing and X-Top frame protection.

On paper that is a power-minded racket without being a monster: 360 g is mid-weight for an attacking frame, and the neutral balance keeps it from feeling like a hammer. The name carries the intent, even if the spec sheet is not tidy.

Weight and carbon agree, shape and foam do not.

Diamond or teardrop, rigid or soft

Lacoste's US page and Padelproshop say diamond. PDH Sports and Padel Reference say teardrop, which is also how our listing is tagged. The foam splits the same way: Padel Reference calls it rigid and powerful, while PDH Sports says soft foam.

We cannot resolve that from published sources. If you want a firm diamond with clearer specs, our diamond padel rackets and teardrop padel rackets pages compare rackets with better-documented shapes.

L-Max or another racket

The Lacoste L-Soft is the lighter, easier sibling at 345 g. For Tecnifibre's own range, the Wall Breaker 365 is the 365 g carbon attacker and the Wall Master 365 is the round control option, with the lighter Wall Master 355 below it.

Who should skip the L-Max

Anyone who needs a confirmed shape before buying, and anyone building up arm strength after a break. Our intermediate padel rackets page is a gentler starting point.

Lacoste also makes a court shoe, the AG-LT Ultra. Pair it with fresh padel balls, an overgrip from our padel grips range, a racket protector and proper padel shoes. Our guide to choosing a padel racket covers weight and shape, and the full padel racket range has the rest.

Not for you if

You want a confirmed diamond or a confirmed soft racket. Sellers disagree on both.
