The Nox Custom Padel Grip is Nox's own padel grip, sold as a cushioned wrap you can put over the grip already on your racket or straight onto the bare handle. It's for players who want a slightly softer, more comfortable handle, and for anyone whose forearm complains after long sessions.

Retailers pitch it at vibration and strain; Padel Kiwi says it's ideal for players with epicondylitis problems. That's a seller's claim, not a medical one, and if you have a persistent elbow problem a physio is the person to ask.

Two ways to fit it

Wrapped over the existing grip, the handle gets thicker, which suits larger hands and gives the cushioning more to work with. Wrapped onto the bare handle, you keep the racket's original shape, which suits players who already find padel handles chunky. Neither option is wrong; the difference is a few millimetres in your palm.

Start at the butt cap, overlap each turn by a few millimetres, pull gently so the wrap lies flat and finish with the tape that comes with the grip. Any overgrip adds roughly 4 to 5 g, so a heavily layered handle nudges the balance a little towards your hand.

Custom Grip or a standard overgrip?

A standard overgrip is thin, cheap and meant to be replaced every few sessions. The Custom Grip is sold as a more cushioned option, so it suits players who care about handle comfort more than a dry, tacky feel.
