Nox AT10 Genius 18K Alum 2027 Padel Racket

£302.94

The Nox AT10 Genius 18K is Agustin Tapia's signature teardrop for advanced players who want one racket for the whole court, and this is its 2027 edition: an 18K Alum carbon face over an MLD Black EVA core, 360 to 375 g, with a medium balance that keeps the head quick at the net.

Three versions of it are on sale at once, which is where most buyers get lost. Nox dropped the "AT10 Luxury" prefix for 2027 and now calls it the Genius 18K Alum by Agustin Tapia, so a shop title with "Luxury" in it is the 2026 racket and one with neither word is probably this one.

It's a precise, fast-handling frame rather than a cannon. If your game is built on the smash, read the Attack comparison further down before you buy.

Which Nox AT10 Genius 18K is this? 2025, 2026 and 2027 explained

Nox has kept the same recipe for three seasons: a teardrop head, an aluminised 18K carbon face and the firm MLD Black EVA core. What moved is everything around it. The 2026 racket arrived on what Nox called a completely new mould, with the Weight Balance system, a Dual Spin surface (3D texture plus silica sand) and chromic paint that changes colour with temperature. For 2027 the materials and the 360 to 375 g window stayed put, the name lost its "AT10 Luxury" tag, and Nox added what it calls VCS, a vibration system it says cuts wrist impact by up to 56%.

The less advertised change is inside the frame. PadelShop, which measured the 2026 and 2027 side by side, found the newer racket's balance point closer to the handle and its feel a fraction softer, which makes it quicker to swing and a little less heavy-headed on the smash.

So the 2026 Genius 18K is the one for players who liked a planted head, and the 2025 edition is the same family without the counterweights, now well below its launch price in our padel racket sale. The table puts the lot side by side.

Nox AT10 Genius 18K review: how the 2027 plays

Pick it up and the first thing you notice is how little it asks of your wrist at the net. Padelful scores the 2027 at 9.6 for manoeuvrability, the same as the two editions before it, with 8.7 for control and 9.0 for the sweet spot. Blocks come back off a big, even face; a bandeja or a víbora goes exactly where you sent it, with plenty of bite from that gritty surface.

Power is where testers hesitate. The racket rates 7.9, unchanged since 2025, and Padelful's list of weaknesses starts with "limited raw smash output". You can still finish a point overhead, but the racket won't do it for you; the speed has to come from your arm, and late, rushed defence off the back glass needs a clean contact rather than a lucky one.

Our view: it's the best all-court racket Nox makes for a player who wins points with placement. Expecting it to flatten the ball like a diamond is like buying a scalpel and complaining it won't chop logs.

The Weight Balance system: tuning the Genius 18K

Since 2026 the Genius has shipped with Nox's Weight Balance system: interchangeable 2 g and 4 g pieces that sit in the frame and work with a frame protector fitted over them. Put the weight high and the head swings through a smash with more mass; leave it out and the racket stays as nimble as Padelful's handling score suggests.

Change one thing at a time and play a full session before you judge it. Two grams sounds like nothing until you've hit forty bandejas with it. If you want to add weight beyond the pieces in the box, Nox sells its own Weight Balancer packs.

One honest caution. The counterweights tune balance by a few grams; they won't turn a teardrop into a diamond. If you find yourself loading every slot to get more smash, the racket is telling you something.

Genius 18K or Genius Attack 18K: teardrop or diamond?

Nox builds the 2027 Genius in two shapes from the same materials. The Genius Attack 18K Alum 2027 is the diamond: higher balance, a sweet spot further up the face and more help on the smash. Padelful marked that 2027 Attack down hard, to 7.3 overall with control at 6.6, so the teardrop is the safer of the two this season unless you live at the net on the left side. If it's the diamond you want, the 2026 Genius Attack 18K scored 8.7 on the same face and core.

There's also a stiffer twin, and it has history: the Genius 12K 2025 had a plain 12K carbon face and out-hit the 18K on Padelful's power score, and the 2026 Luxury Genius 12K moved to the Alum Xtrem face. The Genius 12K Alum Xtrem 2027 keeps the teardrop shape and core but uses Nox's firmest 12K weave, and it's Padelful's best-scored Nox at 9.0. It suits a complete player who wants more feedback; the 18K is the more comfortable of the pair.

Is the Nox AT10 Genius 18K right for you?

It's built for advanced players, roughly Playtomic 4.5 and up, who can already generate their own pace and want a racket that rewards touch. Right-side players who defend, build and pounce on the short ball tend to love it. So do left-siders who'd rather win with a víbora than a flat smash.

Intermediate players can grow into it, but there are better routes there: our advanced padel rackets page explains where that line sits, and the teardrop padel rackets range has softer frames with the same shape.

Not for you if

You're in your first year or two, you rely on the racket for depth from the back, or you want the smash to do the work. A firm core and a stiff carbon face reward a clean swing and punish a hurried one. The Pro Cup Soft or the Lite version will make you a better player sooner.

What to pair with a Nox AT10 Genius 18K

Start at the top of the frame. A protector shields the head from glass and floor, and on this racket it sits over the Weight Balance pieces too; the Nox racket protector is made for the brand's frames, and the racket protector page has the alternatives.

Then the handle. Nox's handles run a touch long, and a worn overgrip is the quickest way to lose the precision you paid for; the Nox Custom Grip is the brand's own wrap, and our padel grips page compares tacky and dry ones.

For balls, a tube of Nox Pro Titanium keeps the bag one brand, and the padel balls guide explains how long a tube stays lively. Carry it in the Nox AT10 Team racket bag or any padel bag with a thermal pocket, since heat is a carbon racket's worst enemy. On your feet, the Nox AT10 Pro shoes and the lighter, sock-fit AT10 Lux share the range, and every pair on our padel shoes page has a sole made for sand-filled turf. For the fan who has everything else, there's even an AT10 Genius 18K keyring for the bag zip.

Still deciding between shapes and builds? Our guide to choosing a padel racket explains balance from first principles, the carbon padel rackets page lists every carbon-faced frame we stock, and the full padel racket range has everything else we stock.

Nox AT10 Genius 18K Alum 2027 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Nox Genius 18K Alum 2027 the same racket as the AT10 Luxury Genius 18K?

Same family, newer edition. Nox dropped the "AT10 Luxury" prefix for 2027, so the AT10 Luxury Genius 18K Alum is the 2026 racket and the Genius 18K Alum by Agustin Tapia is the 2027 one. Face, core, shape and weight window are unchanged; the balance sits a little nearer the handle and Nox added its VCS anti-vibration system.

Does Agustin Tapia actually play with the Genius 18K?

It's his signature line, and Nox designs the Genius around him. Pros often adjust their match rackets, and several tour tables list the stiffer Genius 12K Alum Xtrem as the one in his hand, so treat the 18K as the version of his racket Nox expects most club players to enjoy.

Is the Nox AT10 Genius 18K good for intermediate players?

A strong intermediate with a clean swing can manage it, but it is built for advanced play. The firm core and stiff face give little help on mistimed shots. Most intermediates will improve faster with the AT10 Pro Cup Soft or the Genius 12K Alum Xtrem Lite.

Genius 18K or Genius Attack 18K: which is more powerful?

The Attack. It is a diamond with a higher balance, so the head carries more mass into the smash. The Genius 18K is the teardrop: easier to handle, more forgiving on blocks and better in defence. Padelful rated the 2027 teardrop well above the 2027 Attack overall.

How heavy is the Nox AT10 Genius 18K 2027?

Nox lists 360 to 375 g before any counterweights or overgrip. The Weight Balance pieces come in 2 g and 4 g sizes, and an overgrip adds roughly 4 to 5 g at the handle, which nudges the balance back towards your hand.

How long does a Nox AT10 Genius 18K last?

Nox gives no lifespan, and how often you play matters more than the calendar. What shortens a carbon racket's life is heat and impact: keep it out of hot cars and away from radiators, fit a frame protector and replace it when it starts to lift, and store the racket in a cover between sessions.
