Nox AT10 Genius 18K 2025 Padel Racket

£148.47

The Nox AT10 Genius 18K 2025 is the 2025 edition of Agustin Tapia's all-court teardrop, made for advanced players who want quick hands and control: an aluminised 18K carbon face, an MLD Black EVA core and a 360 to 375 g frame. It's the same recipe Nox still uses in the 2027 racket.

What it lacks is the newer mould and the Weight Balance counterweights that arrived in 2026. Padelful's scores for the 2025 and 2027 sit within a few tenths of each other, which is why last season's Genius 18K is the one many experienced players buy on purpose.

Is the Nox AT10 Genius 18K 2025 still worth buying?

For most players, yes. Put the three editions side by side on Padelful and the numbers barely move: power 7.9 in 2025 and 2027, rebound 8.4 against 8.5, manoeuvrability 9.6 in every season. Control is where the 2027 pulls ahead, 8.7 against 8.3, and the sweet spot edges up from 8.9 to 9.0.

Those are small differences for a big saving. If you play two or three times a week and want a premium carbon teardrop without the current-season premium, this is about as sensible as padel spending gets.

Genius 18K 2025 vs 2026 and 2027: what you give up

Nox kept the important parts. The face is the same aluminised 18K carbon, the core the same MLD Black EVA, and the weight window hasn't changed. The 2026 Genius 18K moved to a new mould, added the Weight Balance system's 2 g and 4 g counterweights and swapped the face texture for Dual Spin. The 2027 Genius 18K kept all of that, moved the balance a little nearer the handle and added Nox's VCS anti-vibration system.

So the question is whether you'll use the counterweights. Plenty of players never touch them. If you like to tune your racket, buy the newer one; if you just want to play, the 2025 does the job. And if you want the 2026 build with a story attached, Nox made a black and green edition for the London P1 at Olympia.

Nox AT10 Genius 18K 2025 review: on court

Medium is Padelful's word for the feel, and it's accurate: firm enough to give a clean, solid strike, soft enough that a day of drills doesn't leave your forearm humming. The sweet spot is roomy for a carbon racket, net play is where it shines, and the smash comes off powerfully without needing a perfect technique.

There are two complaints worth knowing. Very powerful volleys from the other side can push the racket around, so blocks against a big hitter take concentration. And the gritty surface that helps your spin wears with heavy use, slowly turning a grippy face into a smoother one. That's a racket ageing, not a fault, but it's worth knowing before you buy one second-hand.

The 2025 face: Exclusive Spin 3D and the Pulse System

The 2025 face carries Nox's Exclusive Spin 3D pattern, a raised texture where you strike most balls, over a rough sand finish. Bite on slice shots and víboras comes from there. Underneath sit the Pulse System, which Nox says reduces vibration after impact, and the EOS Flap shaping that Nox says spreads the weight for quicker handling.

The tubular carbon frame, the Custom Grip and the replaceable Smartstrap cord complete the package. Check the cord before every match: FIP rules make it compulsory, and a dropped racket loses you the point.

Who should buy the 2025 Genius 18K, and who should not

It's for advanced players, and strong intermediates moving up, who want one all-court racket and value good handling over raw power. It also makes a sensible second racket for anyone who already owns a newer Genius; same face, same core, so switching mid-match feels natural. Our advanced padel rackets page explains the level, and every last-season deal we carry sits in the padel racket sale.

Not for you if

You're still in your first year, you want the racket to finish points for you, or you want to tune weight and balance. Beginners will learn faster with a soft round frame, attackers want the diamond Genius Attack, and tuners should pay for the 2026 or 2027 with Weight Balance.

What to pair with the Genius 18K 2025

Protect the head first: a Nox racket protector or one from the racket protector page stops the frame chipping on the glass. A fresh overgrip keeps the handle tacky; the Nox Custom Grip matches the original wrap, and padel grips covers the rest.

Pick up a tube of Nox Pro Titanium for match days, and see the padel balls guide for how long a tube stays lively. The Nox AT10 Team racket bag carries two rackets, or browse every padel bag. Good padel shoes finish the kit; the AT10 Lux shoes from the same Tapia line use a herringbone and stud sole.

If you're still weighing it up against other shapes and brands, the teardrop padel rackets page and the full padel racket range show the alternatives, and our guide to choosing a padel racket covers the basics.

Nox AT10 Genius 18K 2025 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Nox AT10 Genius 18K 2025 the same racket as the 2024?

Very nearly. Padelful lists the same face, core, shape and weight for both, and the scores differ by a tenth or two: power 8.0 in 2024 against 7.9 in 2025, sweet spot 9.1 against 8.9. If you liked the 2024, the 2025 will feel familiar.

What is the difference between the Genius 18K 2025 and 2027?

The face, core and weight are unchanged. The 2027 sits on the newer mould introduced in 2026, adds the Weight Balance counterweights and VCS anti-vibration, and moves the balance slightly towards the handle. Padelful scores the 2027 higher for control, 8.7 against 8.3.

Is the Nox AT10 Genius 18K 2025 good for intermediate players?

For a strong intermediate with a tidy swing, yes; it is forgiving for a carbon racket and easy to handle. Players still learning to find the sweet spot regularly will do better with a soft round racket first.

Does the 2025 Genius 18K have the Weight Balance system?

No. Nox introduced the interchangeable 2 g and 4 g counterweights with the 2026 edition. The 2025 is set up as it comes, so if you want to tune weight and balance, buy the 2026 or 2027.

How heavy is the Nox AT10 Genius 18K 2025?

Nox lists 360 to 375 g. An overgrip adds about 4 to 5 g at the handle, which lowers the balance slightly.

Will the rough face on the Genius 18K 2025 wear out?

Gradually. Padelful notes that the gritty texture can wear over time, which slowly reduces spin. Keeping the face clean, storing the racket in a cover and avoiding scrapes on the ground all help it last.
