Nox AT10 Pro Cup Soft 2026 Padel Racket

£130

The Nox AT10 Pro Cup Soft is Agustin Tapia's teardrop shape built for improving players: an aluminised fibreglass face over a soft HR3 EVA core, 360 to 375 g, with a medium balance. It gives the ball depth easily and feels gentle on contact, which makes it one of the friendliest ways into the AT10 range.

This is the 2026 edition; the white 2027 Pro Cup Soft lists the same build under a name without AT10. Nox also makes a Pro Cup Hard on the same mould, and the difference between the two is almost entirely the core, as the scores below show.

  • Teardrop, medium balance
  • 360 to 375 g
  • Aluminised fibreglass face
  • HR3 Soft EVA core
  • Padelful rebound 9.1

Nox AT10 Pro Cup Soft vs Pro Cup Hard

Same teardrop, same aluminised fibreglass face, same weight window. Swap the HR3 Soft core for HR3 Hard and Padelful's 2026 scores move a long way: the Soft rates 9.1 for rebound against the Hard's 7.1, while the Hard rates 9.1 for control against the Soft's 7.4. Power and handling sit close together.

In practice the Soft does more of the work for you. A lob from the back glass carries deep with a short swing, and blocks come back without you having to punch them. The Hard rewards a full, confident stroke and puts the ball more precisely, but it asks more of your timing. If you're still building your game, the Soft is the kinder choice. If you already swing freely and want the ball to go exactly where you aim, the Hard fits better.

Nox AT10 Pro Cup Soft review: how it plays

Easy is the right word. Padelful lists easy ball output in defence, a comfortable impact and stable volleys and chiquitas as its strengths, and that matches what you'd expect from a soft core under a fibreglass face. Long rallies feel less like a fight, and a slightly late volley still goes back with some shape.

The weaknesses are just as predictable. Flat attacks lack punch, and smashes need you to generate the pace yourself; the soft response that helps you in defence takes some sting out of your winners. It's a racket for players who win with consistency and placement, not one for people who want to hit the fence.

Arm comfort comes up in nearly every description. A softer core and a fibreglass face do transmit less shock than a stiff carbon frame, and Nox fits its Pulse System to damp vibration, but we'd stop short of calling any racket a cure. One Padelful reviewer still listed vibration as a minus.

Where the Pro Cup Soft fits in the Nox AT10 range

Nox builds Tapia's AT10 line as a ladder. At the bottom is the Genius Junior, a round racket for children, then the Genius Ultralight, a full-size 310 to 325 g fibreglass teardrop for teenagers and small adults. The Pro Cup Soft and Hard sit next, using the full-weight Genius-style teardrop with an aluminised fibreglass face. At the top are the carbon Geniuses, the Genius 18K Alum 2027 and its stiffer 12K twin, made for advanced players.

That makes the Pro Cup Soft the natural first full-weight racket for someone who likes the AT10 look, and a sensible step up for an improver who has outgrown a beginner frame.

Pro Cup Soft or the round ML10 Pro Cup?

Nox's other Pro Cup is Miguel Lamperti's round racket. The round ML10 Pro Cup keeps the weight low and puts a big sweet spot in the middle of the face, which makes it the more forgiving of the two and the better pick for a defender or someone still finding the centre of the racket. The AT10 Pro Cup Soft carries a little more weight towards the head, so it helps more on volleys and overheads once your timing is reliable.

Who is the Nox AT10 Pro Cup Soft for?

Beginners who already play every week, and intermediates who want a comfortable teardrop that gives them depth without much effort. Padelful sums up its audience as players who value touch, arm comfort and easy output over raw power. Our intermediate padel rackets and teardrop padel rackets pages set it beside other brands' equivalents. If you would rather have a firm, dry racket that rewards clean timing, the Wilson Belasteguín racket is the opposite character.

Not for you if

You finish points with the smash, you want maximum control on fast exchanges, or you already play at an advanced level. The soft core trades precision for help, and a stronger player will feel it. Look at the Genius 18K or the Pro Cup Hard instead.

Grip, protector and kit for the Pro Cup Soft

Wrap the handle in a fresh overgrip; the Nox Custom Grip matches the brand, and our padel grips page covers tacky and dry wraps. Fit a racket protector before the first session, since improving players clip the glass more often than they'd like.

For balls, a tube of Nox Nerbo suits club play, and the padel balls guide explains how long a tube lasts. The Nox AT10 Team backpack carries a racket and kit, or see every padel bag. Pair it with proper padel shoes for sand-filled turf, and if you're still comparing shapes, our guide to choosing a padel racket and the full padel racket range will help.

Nox AT10 Pro Cup Soft 2026 Padel Racket: questions people ask

What is the difference between the Nox AT10 Pro Cup Soft and Pro Cup Hard?

The core. Both are aluminised fibreglass teardrops at 360 to 375 g, but the Soft uses HR3 Soft EVA and the Hard uses HR3 Hard. On Padelful the Soft scores 9.1 for rebound and 7.4 for control; the Hard reverses it with 9.1 for control and 7.1 for rebound.

Is the Nox AT10 Pro Cup Soft good for beginners?

Yes for a beginner who plays regularly and wants a full-weight racket. The soft core gives easy depth and a forgiving feel. A complete newcomer or a junior may get on better with the lighter Genius Ultralight first.

Is the Nox AT10 Pro Cup Soft good for tennis elbow?

We can't make medical claims for any racket. What we can say is that a soft core and a fibreglass face transmit less shock than a stiff carbon frame, and Nox adds its Pulse System to damp vibration. If you have an injury, speak to a physio as well as choosing a softer racket.

Is the AT10 Pro Cup Soft the same racket as the Genius 18K?

No. They share Tapia's AT10 branding and a teardrop shape, but the Genius uses an 18K carbon face over a firmer MLD Black EVA core and is built for advanced players. The Pro Cup Soft uses aluminised fibreglass over a soft core for improvers.

How heavy is the Nox AT10 Pro Cup Soft 2026?

Padelful lists 360 to 375 g. Each overgrip adds about 4 to 5 g at the handle and moves the balance slightly towards your hand.

How long does a Nox AT10 Pro Cup Soft last?

There is no published lifespan. Soft cores lose a little of their liveliness with heavy use, so a frequent player may notice less pop after a season or so. A frame protector, a cover and keeping it out of hot cars all help.
