Nox AT10 Genius Ultralight 2026 Padel Racket

£62.99

The Nox AT10 Genius Ultralight is a full-size Agustin Tapia teardrop built at 310 to 325 g, for teenagers who've outgrown a junior racket, smaller adults and anyone who wants a much lighter swing: a soft HR2 EVA core, a 3K fibreglass face and a low balance.

It's roughly 40 g lighter than Nox's full-weight AT10 rackets, and Padelful scores its handling and rebound at 9.5 each. What it gives up is power, which is the honest trade at this weight.

How light is the Nox AT10 Genius Ultralight?

Light enough to change who can play it. At 310 to 325 g it sits about 40 g under the AT10 Pro Cup Soft and the Genius 18K Alum, both 360 to 375 g, yet it keeps the full-size teardrop shape. Totalpadel describes it as a standard-size racket for young players and for adults who want less strain, with a grip suited to smaller hands.

That's the point of it. A teenager gets a grown-up racket without a grown-up weight, and an adult who tires late in a session can keep their technique together for longer.

Nox AT10 Genius Ultralight review: how it plays

Quick and lively. Padelful scores it 9.5 for manoeuvrability and 9.5 for rebound, with 9.0 for the sweet spot and 8.2 for control. Its listed strengths are quick handling in net exchanges, a forgiving fibreglass response on off-centre hits, and easy defensive blocks and lobs.

Power is 5.5, and the weaknesses follow from that: limited smash power, a lively face that can over-carry blocks, and not much weight behind attacking volleys. If your game is built on finishing at the net, this isn't it. If it's built on getting everything back, it's a very good partner.

Bar chart of Padelful scores for the Nox AT10 Genius Ultralight against the Nox X-Hero

Genius Ultralight or another light Nox?

Nox's other light rackets are the round entry models. The X-Hero is 350 to 360 g with a soft white HR3 core, and the X-One Silhouette is 350 to 365 g with an oversized round head. Both are heavier than the Ultralight and, on Padelful's numbers, a long way behind it on handling and rebound.

For children still under about 155 cm, our kids padel racket guide lists the junior rackets, including the junior listing of this same Ultralight and the smaller Genius Junior.

Who should buy the Genius Ultralight?

Teenagers of roughly 14 and up who are tall enough for a full-size racket, smaller adults, and players easing back into the game who want less load on the arm. Retailers also recommend it for players in a recovery period. We'd add one more group: anyone who plays long social sessions and finds their swing falls apart in the last half-hour.

Our women's padel rackets page lines it up with other light frames, and beginner padel rackets covers first rackets across brands.

Not for you if

You're a strong adult who wants to win points at the net, or you already find a 365 g racket comfortable. At this weight the racket can feel flighty in a hard exchange and gives you little help on the smash. A full-weight teardrop such as the Pro Cup Soft will suit you better.

Who the Nox AT10 Genius Ultralight suits: teenagers, smaller adults, players easing back and juniors moving up

Setting up the Ultralight

A light racket feels even lighter with a slick handle, so add a fresh overgrip; each one adds about 4 to 5 g at the handle, which also calms the head a little. The Nox Custom Grip matches the brand, and our padel grips page covers the alternatives. Fit a racket protector before the first session.

A tube of Nox Nerbo suits club play; see the padel balls guide for how long a tube lasts. Pair it with proper padel shoes and a padel bag, and see the full padel racket range or our guide to choosing a padel racket if you're still weighing it up.

Nox AT10 Genius Ultralight 2026 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Nox AT10 Genius Ultralight a junior racket?

It is a full-size racket at junior-like weight, 310 to 325 g. That makes it ideal for older juniors moving up, but it also suits smaller adults and anyone who wants a lighter swing. Younger children need a smaller junior racket.

Is the Nox AT10 Genius Ultralight round or teardrop?

Teardrop. Padelful and the main retailers list it as a teardrop with a low balance, the same shape family as the full-weight AT10 Genius rackets.

How does the Genius Ultralight compare with the Nox X-Hero?

The Ultralight is lighter (310 to 325 g against 350 to 360 g) and scores far higher on Padelful for handling, rebound and sweet spot. The X-Hero is a round first racket with a little more weight behind the ball.

What age is the Nox AT10 Genius Ultralight for?

Our fitting guide puts it at about 14 and up, or players over roughly 155 cm. Height and strength matter more than age; a smaller junior should start with a lighter, shorter junior racket.

How heavy is the Nox AT10 Genius Ultralight?

Padelful lists 310 to 325 g, about 40 g lighter than Nox's full-weight AT10 rackets. An overgrip adds around 4 to 5 g.

How long will a Nox AT10 Genius Ultralight last?

There is no published lifespan. Fibreglass faces and soft cores lose some liveliness with heavy use, and growing players often move to a full-weight racket within a season or two. Keep it in a cover and out of hot cars.
