Nox X-One Silhouette 2026 Padel Racket

£67.50

The Nox X-One Silhouette is a lighter take on Nox's entry round racket, with an oversized head for a first or second season: 350 to 365 g, a 3K fibreglass face over an HR3 EVA core, a carbon frame and a head-light balance.

Nox's own description is short and accurate: an oversized round racket with an extended sweet spot. That makes it the most forgiving of the X range, and the one we'd hand to a newer player who mis-hits a lot and wants the racket to cover for it.

What the oversized head actually does

A round racket already puts the sweet spot near the middle of the face, close to your hand. The Silhouette stretches the head a little wider, so the area that returns a clean ball grows with it. Balls struck off-centre, low on the face or towards the frame still come back with some shape instead of dying on the glass.

Nox doesn't publish a face area, so treat the drawing below as a guide rather than a measurement. What you'll notice on court is simpler: fewer frame shots, fewer wobbles on a late block, and more balls back over the net in your first few months.

Silhouette or the standard X-One?

Same recipe, two changes. The standard X-One is 360 to 375 g with a regular round head; the Silhouette drops to 350 to 365 g and widens the head. Core, face material and frame are the same, so the feel is close: soft, a bit muted, and comfortable on the arm.

Choose the X-One if you're a stronger adult who wants a little more weight behind the ball. Choose the Silhouette if you're lighter, newer, or simply want the bigger margin for error. Some shops file the 2026 Silhouette under women's rackets because of its weight and look, but there's nothing gender-specific about it.

Spec card comparing the Nox X-One Silhouette and the Nox X-One on weight, shape, balance, core, face, frame and level

How heavy is it, really?

Nox and Tennisnuts give 350 to 365 g, with 360 g as the middle of the window. One shop lists the 2026 at under 340 g, which doesn't match the brand or any other retailer, so we've ignored it. Like every padel racket, each one comes off the line a few grams either side, and an overgrip adds about 4 to 5 g at the handle.

In practice that puts it level with the X-Hero at the light end and under the X-One. If you want something genuinely lighter still, the 310 to 325 g AT10 Genius Ultralight is a full-size teardrop built for teenagers and smaller adults.

Who the X-One Silhouette suits

New players in their first year, improvers who still find the frame more than they'd like, and anyone coming to padel from tennis or squash who swings a bit early. It also suits social doubles players who want comfort and control more than pace. Tennisnuts rates it for beginner and intermediate play, which matches our view: it'll see you through the first couple of seasons.

Our beginner padel rackets page compares it with first rackets from other brands, and the control padel racket hub covers round frames at every level.

Not for you if

You already hit hard and want to finish points with the smash. A head-light round racket with a soft fibreglass face won't give you that. Look at a teardrop or a stiffer carbon face instead, such as the Equation Hard Advanced.

Setting up and what to pair it with

Wrap a fresh overgrip before the first session; the Nox Custom Grip keeps it all one brand, and our padel grips page covers thicker and tackier options. A wide head meets the floor and the walls more often than you think, so fit the Nox protector or another racket protector straight away.

Club balls such as Nox Nerbo suit this level; our padel balls guide explains how long a tube stays lively. Add padel shoes with a herringbone sole and a padel bag, and if you're still deciding, the full padel racket range and our guide to choosing a padel racket will help.

Nox X-One Silhouette 2026 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Nox X-One Silhouette the same as the X-One?

No. It shares the X-One core, face and frame, but it is lighter at 350 to 365 g and has an oversized round head, which Nox says extends the sweet spot.

Is the Nox X-One Silhouette good for beginners?

Yes. A round, head-light shape, a soft fibreglass face and a bigger sweet spot make it one of the most forgiving rackets Nox makes for a first season.

X-One Silhouette or X-Hero: which should I buy?

They weigh about the same. The Silhouette has the larger, oversized head; the X-Hero has the softer HR3 White EVA core. Pick the Silhouette for forgiveness and the X-Hero for a softer feel.

Does the Nox X-One Silhouette have a rough face?

No. Nox and UK retailers list a 3K fibreglass face with a glossy finish. The oversized head, not the surface, is what sets it apart from the X-One.

How heavy is the Nox X-One Silhouette 2026?

Nox lists 350 to 365 g and Tennisnuts gives 360 g plus or minus 10. Expect about 4 to 5 g more once an overgrip is fitted.

How long will an X-One Silhouette last?

There is no published lifespan. A fibreglass face and EVA core on a racket played two or three times a week usually feel fresh for a season or more; a protector and a cover, and keeping it out of hot cars, help.
