Nox Equation Hard Advanced 2027 Padel Racket

£98.97

The Nox Equation Hard Advanced is the firmer version of Nox's round club racket, for weekly players who already swing freely and want a more solid strike: a fibreglass face over an HR3 Hard EVA core, a carbon frame, a medium balance and 355 to 365 g in its 2027 edition.

As with the Soft, the word Advanced is part of the name rather than a level. The only real difference between the two Equations is the core, and that one change moves the feel a long way.

Nox Equation Hard or Soft Advanced?

Padelful's 2026 scores show the trade clearly. The Hard gets a little more power (6.6 against 6.1) and rebound (8.6 against 8.4); the Equation Soft Advanced is far quicker in the hand (9.1 against 7.9). Control and sweet spot are essentially level.

In practice the Hard feels more solid on volleys and blocks and gives the ball back with more pace when you swing through it. The Soft is the easier, more forgiving racket on a day when your timing is off. If you're not sure which you are, you're probably a Soft.

Nox Equation Hard Advanced review: how it plays

Padelful's strengths for the Hard are the ones a round racket should have: a generous sweet spot on mishits, stable defensive blocks and lobs, and controlled bandejas and víboras. Its weaknesses are the price of the firmer core: little easy finishing power, a need for clean technique on contact, and no free depth on half-swings.

That last point looks odd next to a rebound score of 8.6, but it makes sense on court. A firm core returns the pace you put into it; it won't add its own when you only half commit. Swing properly and the ball goes deep. Push at it and it won't.

Equation Hard Advanced 2026 vs 2027

The recipe hasn't changed: round head, medium balance, HR3 Hard core, fibreglass face, carbon frame. The weight window has. Zona de Padel lists the 2026 at 360 to 375 g and the 2027 at 355 to 365 g, so the newer racket is a touch lighter in the hand. The 2027 sheet also lists only the 3D texture, where the 2026 combined 3D with a sand finish.

Nox's earlier Equation WPT was the only racket in Testea's 2022 endurance trial whose stiffness didn't change, which says something about how the line is built, though that test predates both of these editions.

Spec comparison of the Nox Equation Hard Advanced 2026 and 2027: weight, shape, core, face, surface and frame

Is the Nox Equation Hard a power racket?

No, and that's worth knowing before you buy it for the name. It's a round racket with a medium balance, so the sweet spot sits in the middle of the face and the racket favours placement over power. The firmer core helps a confident player hit through the ball, but it won't turn a round racket into a diamond. If power is the goal, our diamond padel rackets are the place to look; if control is, the control padel rackets page lines up the round options.

Who should buy the Equation Hard Advanced?

Players in their second or third season who already have a reliable swing, play every week and want a firmer, more solid round racket than a soft beginner frame. It's a good fit for ex-tennis players who find soft cores mushy. Our intermediate padel rackets page compares it with other brands, and the cheap padel racket range shows the alternatives at a similar price.

Not for you if

You're in your first season, your arm complains after a firm racket, or you rely on the racket for depth on slow balls. The Equation Soft is the kinder choice for all three, and a complete beginner will learn faster with a softer, cheaper first racket.

Setting up and kitting out the Equation Hard

Fit a racket protector before the first session and keep a fresh overgrip on the handle; the Nox Custom Grip is the brand's own, and our padel grips page explains the alternatives. A firmer racket feels harsher with a worn grip, so change it as soon as it stops feeling tacky.

For balls, a tube of Nox Nerbo suits weekly club play; the padel balls guide covers how long they last. Carry it in the Nox Pro Series bag or any padel bag, and play in padel shoes made for sand-filled turf. The full padel racket range and our guide to choosing a padel racket cover the rest.

Nox Equation Hard Advanced 2027 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Nox Equation Hard Advanced an advanced racket?

No. Advanced is part of the model name. It is a round fibreglass club racket for improving and intermediate players; the Hard simply has a firmer core than the Soft version.

Should I buy the Nox Equation Hard or Soft?

Buy the Hard if you already swing confidently and want a more solid, firmer strike. Buy the Soft if you want comfort, quicker hands and more help on mistimed shots. Shape, face and frame are the same.

Is the Nox Equation Hard Advanced good for beginners?

It suits a beginner who plays every week and has some racket-sport background. A true newcomer will usually find the Soft or a cheaper first racket more forgiving.

What changed on the Nox Equation Hard Advanced for 2027?

The weight window moved down to 355 to 365 g from 360 to 375 g, and the 2027 sheet lists a 3D texture only. Shape, balance, core and face are unchanged.

How heavy is the Nox Equation Hard Advanced 2027?

It is listed at 355 to 365 g. An overgrip adds about 4 to 5 g at the handle.

How do I look after a Nox Equation Hard Advanced?

Fit a frame protector, store it in a cover away from heat and replace the overgrip regularly. EVA foam dislikes heat more than anything else, so do not leave it in a hot car.
