Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough 2027 Padel Racket

£116.97

The Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough is Miguel Lamperti's round control racket with a textured face, made for improving and intermediate players who like to slice and spin the ball. It shares the classic Pro Cup recipe, 360 to 375 g, a low balance and a soft HR3 EVA core, with a rough silver fibreglass face that grips the ball as you brush across it.

This page is the 2027 edition. The previous season's version, sold as the Rough Surface Edition, is still listed too, and the two scored differently on Padelful, so read the comparison before you choose.

What the rough face on the ML10 Pro Cup does

Brush across the ball with a textured face and it bites, holding the ball for a fraction longer and sending it off with more rotation. On a bandeja that keeps the ball low off the back glass; on a slice return it skids and stays down. The smooth ML10 Pro Cup Coorp is cleaner and more predictable on flat shots, but you'll notice the difference the first time you try a víbora.

Everything else matches the Coorp: the round mould, the weight window and the HR3 core. So this is a choice about how you like to hit the ball, not about level.

Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough review: how it plays

Padelful scores the 2027 Rough at 9.0 for control and 9.1 for the sweet spot, which is exactly what you'd hope for from a round control racket. Its strengths read like a defender's wish list: a broad, forgiving sweet spot, easy depth on defensive lobs and tidy placement on the bandeja.

The weak spots are the usual ones for a soft round racket. There's little free power on the smash, fast blocks can fly further than you meant, and penetrating volleys come off gently. Handling is also slower than you might expect, 7.4 on Padelful, so very quick exchanges at the net take early preparation.

ML10 Pro Cup Rough 2027 vs Rough Surface 2025

Here's the honest bit. Padelful scored the 2025 Rough Surface Edition a little higher overall, with noticeably better handling (8.7 against 7.4) and more power (7.9 against 7.0). Control is almost identical, and the 2027 edges ahead on rebound and sweet spot. The 2027 also moves to an aluminised silver fibreglass face and Padelful rates its feel as soft rather than medium-soft.

So if you want quicker hands and a bit more punch, last season's version is the better racket on paper, and usually the lower-priced one. If you want the softest, most forgiving feel and the newest build, buy the 2027.

Bar chart of Padelful scores for the Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough 2027 against the Rough Surface Edition 2025

The two Rough editions, spec by spec

Laid out side by side, the differences are small on paper: the same weight, shape and HR3 core, a slightly different face material and a softer feel on the 2027. Most players would struggle to tell them apart in a blind test until it came to quick hands at the net.

Who should buy the Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough?

Improvers and intermediates who defend from the back, like to slice, and want a racket that keeps the ball in court. It suits right-side players particularly well. Our control padel rackets page compares round rackets across brands, and the intermediate rackets page explains when to move on to something firmer.

Not for you if

You finish points with the smash, you want very quick hands at the net, or you prefer a flat, clean strike. The 2025 Rough Surface or the smooth Coorp will suit you better, and for real attacking power you need a teardrop or diamond.

Looking after the face, and the kit to go with it

Textured faces wear smoother with use, so wipe the face after damp sessions, store the racket in a cover and keep it away from the floor of the car boot. A racket protector saves the frame on low defensive balls, and a fresh overgrip such as the Nox Custom Grip keeps your hold secure; see our padel grips page for the alternatives.

For balls, a tube of Nox Nerbo suits club play, and the padel balls guide covers how long they stay lively. The ML10 Competition XL Compact bag has a thermal section for rackets, or see every padel bag. Finish with padel shoes for sand-filled turf. The full padel racket range and our guide to choosing a padel racket cover the rest.

Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough 2027 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough the same as the Rough Surface Edition?

They are consecutive editions of the same idea. The Rough Surface Edition is the 2025 racket; the 2027 is sold as the ML10 Pro Cup Rough and moves to an aluminised silver fibreglass face with a softer feel. Both are round, 360 to 375 g, with an HR3 core.

Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough or Coorp: which should I choose?

Choose the Rough if you slice and like spin, because the textured face grips the ball. Choose the smooth Coorp if you prefer a cleaner, more predictable response on flat shots. Weight, shape and core are the same.

Is the Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough good for intermediate players?

Yes, especially defensive intermediates. Padelful scores its control at 9.0 and sweet spot at 9.1. Attacking intermediates who want more power should look at a teardrop instead.

Does the rough face on the Pro Cup wear off?

Gradually. Any textured face becomes smoother with heavy use, which slowly reduces spin. Keeping the face clean and dry, storing the racket in a cover and avoiding scrapes on the ground all help it last.

How heavy is the Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough 2027?

It is listed at 360 to 375 g. If that feels heavy, the ML10 Pro Cup Silver is the same family at 350 to 365 g with a smooth face.

Who plays the Nox ML10 line?

ML10 is Miguel Lamperti's signature line at Nox. The Pro Cup rackets are the fibreglass, club-level versions of his round control shape; the Ventus Control 3K is the carbon version.
