Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough Surface 2025 Padel Racket

£114.99

The Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough Surface is the 2025 edition of Miguel Lamperti's textured round control racket, for improving and intermediate players who like to slice and keep the ball low: 360 to 375 g, a soft HR3 EVA core, a fibreglass face with a rough finish and a carbon frame.

It's last season's racket, and that works in its favour. On Padelful's scores it's quicker in the hand and a little punchier than the 2027 Pro Cup Rough that replaced it, and it usually sells for less.

Rough Surface 2025 or the 2027 Pro Cup Rough?

Padelful scored both, and last season's version comes out slightly ahead overall: 8.6 for the 2025 Rough Surface Edition. The biggest differences are in the hand. The 2025 rates 8.7 for manoeuvrability against 7.4 for the 2027 Pro Cup Rough, and 7.9 for power against 7.0. The 2027 claws back a little on rebound and sweet spot, and control is almost identical at 9.1 and 9.0.

So if you want quick hands at the net and a touch more bite on the bandeja, the 2025 is the better racket on paper. If you want the softest, most forgiving feel and the aluminised silver face Nox fitted for 2027, buy the newer one.

Rough or smooth: the 2025 Pro Cups compared

In 2025 Nox sold the Pro Cup with a smooth face as well as this rough one, and Padelful's scores for the pair are close: 8.6 overall for the Rough Surface and 8.5 for the smooth. The texture buys a little handling (8.7 against 8.4) and gives up a little rebound (8.3 against 8.6). Padelful's reviewer singles out the rough surface as a standout feature, saying the extra spin helps significantly.

If you slice your returns, play a lot of víboras or like the ball to stay low after the bounce, the rough face is worth having. If you hit flatter, you'd barely notice it.

Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough Surface review: on court

Padelful's verdict is short and positive: excellent control, a generous sweet spot and easy handling all over the court, with power described as sufficient. That last word is doing honest work. This is not a racket that finishes points on its own; it keeps you in rallies, puts the ball where you want it and lets you win with placement.

Because it's round with a low balance, it forgives off-centre hits and gets back into position quickly after a defensive dig, which is exactly what most improving club players need.

Who should buy the 2025 Rough Surface Edition?

Improvers and intermediates who defend from the back, like to slice and want a forgiving round racket without paying for this season's model. It's also a smart spare for anyone who already plays a Pro Cup. Our control padel rackets page compares round rackets across brands, and the padel racket sale explains how last season's editions compare with the current ones.

Not for you if

You want to win points with the smash, you already play at a strong level and want a firmer, more precise strike, or you want the very latest edition. A teardrop or Lamperti's carbon Ventus Control 3K, now in its firmer 2027 edition, will suit a stronger player better.

Keeping the rough face rough, and the kit to go with it

Textured faces wear smoother with play, so wipe the face after damp sessions, store the racket in a cover and keep it off the floor of the car. A racket protector saves the frame on low defensive balls, and the Nox Custom Grip or any wrap from our padel grips page keeps your hold secure.

For balls, a tube of Nox Nerbo suits club play and the padel balls guide covers how long a tube lasts. Carry it in the ML10 Team backpack or any padel bag, and play in padel shoes made for sand-filled turf. If you're still deciding, the full padel racket range and our guide to choosing a padel racket will help.

Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough Surface 2025 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough Surface the same as the Pro Cup Rough?

It is the 2025 edition of the same textured racket. Nox sells the 2027 version as the ML10 Pro Cup Rough, with an aluminised silver fibreglass face and a softer feel; weight, shape and core stay the same.

Is the 2025 Rough Surface better than the 2027 Pro Cup Rough?

On Padelful's scores it is quicker in the hand (8.7 against 7.4) and a little more powerful (7.9 against 7.0), while the 2027 edges it on rebound and sweet spot. Control is almost identical.

Is the Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough Surface good for beginners?

Yes for a beginner who plays every week. It is round, low balance and forgiving, with a big sweet spot. A complete newcomer may prefer a lighter or cheaper first racket.

What does the rough surface do on a padel racket?

A textured face grips the ball as you brush across it, adding spin to slice shots and víboras so the ball stays lower after the bounce. On flat shots the difference is small.

How heavy is the Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough Surface 2025?

Padelful lists 360 to 375 g. Each overgrip adds about 4 to 5 g at the handle.

How long does the rough face on the Pro Cup last?

There is no published figure. The texture slowly wears smoother with regular play, which gradually reduces spin. Keeping the face clean and dry and storing the racket in a cover helps.
