Nox Equation Soft Advanced 2027 Padel Racket

£98.97

The Nox Equation Soft Advanced is a round, soft-core club racket for weekly players moving from beginner to intermediate: a fibreglass face, an HR3 Soft EVA core, a carbon frame and 355 to 365 g with a medium balance. It's quick in the hand, forgiving on mistimed shots and gentle on contact.

Don't let the word Advanced put you off. It's part of the model name, not a level, and Padelful listed the 2026 edition among its picks for both beginners and intermediates. This page covers the 2027 version.

Nox Equation Soft Advanced review: how it plays

Handling is the headline. Padelful scored the 2026 Soft at 9.1 for manoeuvrability, which is very high for a full-size racket, alongside 8.1 for control and 8.4 for rebound. That adds up to a racket that gets to the ball quickly, sends it back deep without much swing and keeps it in court when your timing is a fraction late.

Power is where it pays for that comfort. A 6.1 power score means smashes rarely finish the point on their own, and big flat overheads lack punch. For most club doubles that's a fair trade, because points at this level are won by the pair that misses least, not the pair that hits hardest.

Nox Equation Soft or Hard Advanced?

Nox makes the Equation in two cores. The Equation Hard Advanced swaps the HR3 Soft for HR3 Hard and feels firmer, and on Padelful's 2026 scores it gains a little power (6.6 against 6.1) and rebound (8.6 against 8.4) while losing a lot of handling (7.9 against 9.1). Control is level.

Pick the Soft if comfort and quick hands matter most, or if your arm complains after a firm racket. Pick the Hard if you already swing confidently and want a touch more bite on the bandeja. Both are round, so neither will hurt your consistency.

Is the Nox Equation a round or a diamond racket?

Round. Some shops file the Equation under intermediate or advanced rackets because of the name, and that has led to it being described as a diamond in places. It isn't. The 2026 and 2027 spec sheets list the Equation as round with a medium balance, which puts the sweet spot in the middle of the face where improving players hit the ball. Our control padel rackets page explains why that shape suits most club players.

Where the Equation sits in the Nox range

Nox has one of the clearest ladders in padel. The X-One, the X-Hero and its twin the X-Zero are the first step. The Equation comes next, still round with a fibreglass face and a carbon frame, but noticeably quicker in the hand. Above it sit the Pro Cups, fibreglass versions of the pro moulds, and at the top the carbon Genius and Ventus rackets. The Equation is the sensible buy for a player who has outgrown a first racket and plays every week, but isn't ready to pay for carbon.

Nox's earlier Equation WPT was the one racket in Testea's 2022 endurance trial whose stiffness didn't change, which says something about how the line is built, though that test was on a previous model.

Who should buy the Equation Soft Advanced?

Weekly club players from their first full season to solid intermediate, defenders who like a quick racket, and anyone who finds firmer rackets tiring on the arm. It fits our best padel racket for beginners picks at the top end and our intermediate rackets at the gentle end, and it sits in the cheap padel racket range by price.

Not for you if

You finish points with the smash, you play two or three times a week at a good level and want precision from a firmer face, or you're shopping for a junior who needs a lighter frame. The Equation Hard, a carbon teardrop or Nox's lighter AT10 Genius Ultralight will suit you better.

Setting up and kitting out the Equation

Fit a racket protector before you play, because round rackets spend a lot of time low to the ground on defensive balls. Wrap the handle in a fresh overgrip; the Nox Custom Grip matches the brand, and our padel grips page explains the options.

For balls, a tube of Nox Nerbo suits club play, and the padel balls guide covers how long a tube lasts. Carry everything in the Nox Pro Series bag or another padel bag, and play in padel shoes built for sand-filled turf. The full padel racket range and our guide to choosing a padel racket cover the rest.

Nox Equation Soft Advanced 2027 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Nox Equation Soft Advanced an advanced racket?

No. Advanced is part of the model name. The Equation is a round, soft-core fibreglass racket, and Padelful listed the 2026 edition among its picks for both beginners and intermediates.

What is the difference between the Nox Equation Soft and Hard Advanced?

The core. Both are round fibreglass rackets with a carbon frame. The Soft uses HR3 Soft EVA and is much quicker to handle; the Hard uses HR3 Hard EVA for a firmer feel and a little more power.

Is the Nox Equation Soft Advanced good for beginners?

For a beginner who plays every week, yes. It is round, forgiving and easy to manoeuvre. Someone playing once a month may be happier with a cheaper first racket such as the Nox X-One.

Has the Nox Equation Soft Advanced changed for 2027?

The recipe is the same: round, medium balance, HR3 Soft core, fibreglass face and carbon frame. Shops list the 2027 at 355 to 365 g, against 350 to 365 g for the 2026 on Padelful, so the weight window has narrowed slightly.

How heavy is the Nox Equation Soft Advanced 2027?

It is listed at 355 to 365 g. Add roughly 4 to 5 g for each overgrip, which also moves the balance a touch towards your hand.

How long will a Nox Equation Soft Advanced last?

Nox publishes no lifespan. Soft cores lose some liveliness with heavy use, so a frequent player may notice it softening after a season or so. A protector, a cover and keeping it out of hot cars help most.

Not sure the Nox Equation Soft Advanced 2027 Padel Racket is the one? Compare it with every other padel racket we stock, sorted by level, shape and weight, and the best padel racket for beginners page narrows it to your level.
