Nox X-One Padel Racket 2026

£59.99

The Nox X-One padel racket 2026 is Nox's entry round racket for a first season: 360 to 375 g, a low balance, an HR3 EVA core under a smooth 3K fibreglass face, and a carbon frame. It does exactly what a beginner's racket should, which is make the ball go back over the net without fuss.

You'll outgrow it, probably within a year if you play every week. That's not a criticism. A first racket's job is to get you hitting the ball cleanly, and the X-One is very good at that job.

Is the Nox X-One a good first padel racket?

Yes, and for the boring reasons that matter. It's round, so the sweet spot is big and central. The balance is low, so the head comes round quickly when you're late. The HR3 core gives a medium-soft feel, and the fibreglass face is more forgiving on off-centre hits than stiff carbon. Our beginner padel rackets guide explains why that combination is the textbook first racket.

Padelful's scores tell the same story from the other side: 5.1 for power and 7.1 for control on the 2025 edition. Low power numbers on a beginner racket are a feature. New players rarely lose points because the ball wasn't hit hard enough.

Checklist showing the Nox X-One padel racket meets the five things a first racket needs: round head, low balance, HR3 core, fibreglass face and carbon frame

X-One, X-One Silhouette, X-Hero or X-Zero?

Nox's entry range has four names and three rackets. The X-One is the full-weight version. The X-One Silhouette is lighter, at 350 to 365 g, with an oversized round head that Nox says extends the sweet spot. The X-Hero and X-Zero are the same racket in different colours, lighter again at 350 to 360 g with a white HR3 core, and the X-Hero is Padelful's first pick for beginners.

Pick by weight first. Adults with a normal build will be happiest with the X-One; smaller adults, teenagers and anyone who wants a lighter swing should look at the Silhouette or the X-Hero.

Nox X-One review: how it plays

It feels secure. Defensive balls come back with depth, volleys at the net are steady, and the forgiving sweet spot means a hit that's a few centimetres off still goes somewhere useful. Padelful credits the low balance for its defensive play and the carbon frame for stability and durability.

Against the X-Hero, the X-One scores almost identically on Padelful, a touch more power and sweet spot, a touch less handling, which is what the extra weight buys you. Neither racket will hit winners for you, and neither is meant to.

Two first rackets, scored almost the same: the X-One a fraction more solid. Padelful scores.

When to move on from the X-One

You'll know. Smashes that you hit well still sit up, volleys feel a little dead, and you start wanting the ball to go further for the same swing. That usually comes after a season or two of weekly play. The natural next step in the Nox range is the Equation Soft Advanced, then the ML10 Pro Cup Coorp or a teardrop such as the AT10 Pro Cup Soft.

Don't throw the X-One away when you do. A round, forgiving racket makes the best spare in a bag, for lending to a friend or taking to a wet outdoor court.

Not for you if

You already play every week with a solid swing, you came to padel from years of tennis or squash, or you want power. A player who already strikes the ball cleanly will outgrow it within weeks. Start with the Equation or a round carbon racket instead.

A first padel kit around the X-One

Fit a racket protector before the first session; new players catch the floor and the glass more than anyone. A fresh overgrip helps a lot too: the Nox Custom Grip or anything from our padel grips page.

For balls, a tube of Nox Nerbo is plenty for a first season, and our padel balls guide explains when to open a new one. Proper padel shoes matter more than any racket in your first month, because trainers slide on sand-filled turf. A padel bag such as the Nox Pro Series bag keeps it all together. Still choosing? Our cheap padel racket page and guide to choosing a padel racket cover the options, and the full padel racket range has the rest.

Nox X-One Padel Racket 2026: questions people ask

Is the Nox X-One the same as the X-One Silhouette?

No. The Silhouette is a lighter version, 350 to 365 g against 360 to 375 g, with an oversized round head for a larger sweet spot. Both use a 3K fibreglass face, an HR3 core and a carbon frame.

Is the Nox X-One good for beginners?

Yes. It is round, low balance, forgiving and soft enough for a first season, which is exactly what a beginner needs. Expect to outgrow it after a season or two of weekly play.

Nox X-One or X-Hero: which should a beginner buy?

Both are round entry rackets with almost identical Padelful scores. The X-One is heavier and a little more solid; the X-Hero is lighter, with a softer white HR3 core. Adults of average build usually suit the X-One, smaller players the X-Hero.

Has the Nox X-One changed for 2026?

Nox keeps the X-One recipe stable from year to year, changing mainly the colours. The 2026 is listed at 360 to 375 g with a 3K fibreglass face and HR3 core, the same as the 2025 Padelful tested.

How heavy is the Nox X-One?

It is listed at 360 to 375 g; Decathlon UK gives 365 to 375 g for the 2026. Each overgrip adds about 4 to 5 g at the handle.

How long does a Nox X-One last?

Nox gives no figure. Entry fibreglass rackets lose some liveliness with regular play, and most weekly players move on to a better racket within a year or two anyway. A frame protector and keeping it out of hot cars help it last as a spare.
