Nox X-Hero Padel Racket 2026

£50.99

The Nox X-Hero padel racket is a light, round first racket for adults and teenagers in their first season: 350 to 360 g, a low balance, a soft white HR3 EVA core under a 3K fibreglass face, and a carbon frame. Padelful lists it as its first pick for beginners, and it's easy to see why.

It's the same racket as the X-Zero in different colours, and a slightly lighter, softer alternative to the X-One. This listing is the blue 2026 X-Hero.

Nox X-Hero review: how a Nox hero padel racket plays

Gentle and forgiving. Padelful's strengths are a large, forgiving sweet spot, a comfortable ball exit in defence and stable, controlled exchanges at the net. In plain terms, the ball goes back over even when you don't quite catch it right, and it goes back deep when you're scrambling.

Its weaknesses are just as clear: limited smash power (4.9 on Padelful), moderate bite on a víbora and not much finishing punch. For a first season that's fine. Points at the beginner level are lost to mistakes, not to a lack of pace, and a racket that makes fewer mistakes for you is the right racket.

Nox X-Hero or X-Zero?

They're the same racket in different colours, so pick the one you like the look of. Both are round, 350 to 360 g, with a white HR3 core and a 3K fibreglass face. We stock the blue X-Zero alongside this blue X-Hero.

Nox X-Hero vs X-One: which first racket?

The Nox X-One is the X-Hero's slightly heavier sibling, 360 to 375 g with a standard HR3 core. Padelful's scores for the two are almost the same, with the X-One a fraction more solid and the X-Hero a fraction quicker in the hand. Weight is the real deciding factor.

Adults of average or larger build will usually prefer the X-One's extra heft. Smaller adults, teenagers, and anyone who finds a 370 g racket tiring after an hour should start with the X-Hero. If you want a similar weight with an oversized head and a bigger sweet spot, the X-One Silhouette sits in between.

When you outgrow the X-Hero

After a season or two of weekly play, most people want more from the ball. The natural next Nox is the Equation Soft Advanced: still round and fibreglass, but Padelful scores it well ahead on control, rebound and handling, with more power too. Our beginner padel rackets and cheap padel racket pages cover the other options.

Keep the X-Hero as your spare. It's the racket you lend to a friend, or take to a wet outdoor court so your good one stays dry.

Not for you if

You already play every week with a confident swing, you came from years of tennis or squash, or you want to win points with the smash. You'll outgrow the X-Hero in weeks. Start with the Equation or a round carbon racket instead.

What moving to the Equation Soft adds once you outgrow a first racket. Padelful scores.

A first kit with the Nox X-Hero

Add a racket protector before your first session, and a fresh overgrip such as the Nox Custom Grip or anything from our padel grips page; a light racket is easier to control with a tacky handle.

A tube of Nox Nerbo will do for a first season, and the padel balls guide explains when to open a new tube. Most importantly, buy proper padel shoes: trainers slide on sand-filled turf. A padel bag keeps it all together, and the full padel racket range and our guide to choosing a padel racket are there when you're ready for more.

Nox X-Hero Padel Racket 2026: questions people ask

Is the Nox X-Hero the same racket as the X-Zero?

Yes. They share the same round shape, 350 to 360 g weight, white HR3 core and 3K fibreglass face, and differ only in colour.

Is the Nox X-Hero good for beginners?

Yes. Padelful lists it as its first pick for beginners, thanks to a large, forgiving sweet spot and an easy, comfortable feel. It has little power, which beginners rarely need.

Should I buy the Nox X-Hero or the X-One?

Choose by weight. The X-Hero is 350 to 360 g with a softer white core; the X-One is 360 to 375 g. Smaller adults and teenagers usually suit the X-Hero, larger adults the X-One.

Is the Nox X-Hero suitable for teenagers?

For teenagers who have grown into adult rackets, yes; it is one of the lighter adult frames we sell. Younger or smaller children should start with a junior racket such as the Nox AT10 Genius Junior, and teenagers who want something lighter still can look at the 310 to 325 g Genius Ultralight.

How heavy is the Nox X-Hero 2026?

Padelful lists it at 350 to 360 g. An overgrip adds roughly 4 to 5 g at the handle.

How long will a Nox X-Hero last?

There is no published lifespan. Most weekly players move up to a firmer racket within a season or two, and the X-Hero then makes a useful spare. Keep it in a cover and out of hot cars.
