The Nox Ventus Hybrid 12K Lite 2026 is a light carbon all-rounder for intermediate and advanced players who want quick hands: 355 to 365 g, a 12K Xtrem carbon face over an MLD Black EVA core, a medium balance and a rounded hybrid head. Padelful rates its handling at 9.7, one of the highest scores it gives any racket.

It's the lighter version of Nox's Ventus Hybrid, and the racket it's most often weighed against is the AT10 Genius 12K Alum Xtrem Lite. Both are below.

Nox Ventus Hybrid 12K Lite 2026 review: how it plays

Fast is the first word. Padelful scores the 2026 at 8.5 overall, with 9.7 for manoeuvrability, 8.7 for control, 8.4 for the sweet spot and 7.9 for power. Its strengths are speed at the net, a generous, forgiving sweet spot and clean control under pressure, and PadelVerdict named the 2026 its top hybrid racket.

The weaknesses come from the light build. There's limited raw smash power, defence needs early preparation, and the racket is less stable when a hard ball hits it. Padelful's summary suits it well: for players who value speed, control and comfort more than finishing power.

Ventus Hybrid 12K Lite or Genius 12K Alum Xtrem Lite?

Both weigh 355 to 365 g and both use a stiff 12K carbon face, so the choice comes down to feel. The Ventus has the firmer MLD Black EVA core and Padelful scores it higher for control (8.7 against 8.0) and power (7.9 against 7.6). The Genius 12K Alum Xtrem Lite 2026 uses a softer white HR3 core and wins on sweet spot (9.1 against 8.4) and handling (a perfect 10).

Pick the Ventus if you want precision and a slightly firmer response. Pick the Genius Lite if you want the most forgiving, softest-feeling light carbon racket Nox makes.

Is the Ventus Hybrid Lite round or teardrop?

Somewhere in between, which is what Nox means by Hybrid. Padelful lists the 2026 as round and Zona de Padel lists the 2027 as teardrop; in the hand it's a rounded head with a medium balance, so the sweet spot sits a little above the centre. That's why it handles like a control racket but still helps on volleys at the net.

2026 or 2027, and how light is it?

Nox made the 2027 Ventus Hybrid 12K Lite a touch lighter again, at 350 to 360 g, with the same 12K face and MLD Black EVA core. The 2026 is 5 g heavier at each end of the window and, as last season's racket, usually the better-value buy. Both sit well below the full-weight EA10 Ventus Hybrid, Edu Alonso's 360 to 375 g racket with the stiffer 12K Xtrem face.

Who should buy the Ventus Hybrid 12K Lite?

Intermediate and advanced players who want a carbon racket that's easy to swing: lighter players, many women, and anyone who finds a 370 g frame slow at the net. It sits in both big Spanish shops' women's categories, but nothing about it is gender-specific. Our women's padel rackets and intermediate rackets pages compare it with other brands.

Not for you if

You finish points with the smash, you're a heavy hitter who wants a stable, planted racket, or you're still in your first season. Light carbon rackets can feel unsettled against hard balls. A full-weight teardrop or, for beginners, a soft fibreglass racket will suit you better.

What to pair with the Ventus Hybrid Lite

Keep the handle tacky with the Nox Custom Grip or anything from our padel grips range; an overgrip also adds a few grams at the handle, which steadies a light head. Fit the Nox racket protector or another racket protector before you play.

For balls, a tube of Nox Pro Titanium keeps the bag one brand; see our padel balls guide for how long they last. Add a padel bag with a thermal pocket and padel shoes made for sand-filled turf. The full padel racket range and our guide to choosing a padel racket cover the rest.
