Nox EA10 Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtreme 2026 Padel Racket

£190.99

The Nox EA10 Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtreme is a 360 to 375 g carbon teardrop for advanced players who want speed at the net and a big sweet spot more than free power: a stiff 12K Xtrem face over an MLD Black EVA core, with a medium balance. It's the all-court model in Edu Alonso's signature line.

Most buyers weigh it against Nox's AT10 Genius 12K Alum Xtrem, which uses a face from the same 12K family. Padelful scores the Ventus quicker and more forgiving, the Genius harder-hitting. Which one suits you depends on whether you'd rather place the ball or punch it.

Nox EA10 Ventus Hybrid review: how it plays

It's fast. Padelful rates handling at 9.5 and the sweet spot at 9.2, which is rare for a full-weight carbon racket, and lists quick hands at the net, forgiveness on mishits and clean control on the bandeja and víbora as its strengths. Control and power both score 8.4.

The catch is the 6.9 for rebound. The ball doesn't leap off this face from the back of the court, so defence needs a proper swing, and the smash gets no free help either. Padelful puts it simply: it demands clean contact and timing. Give it that and it's one of the most precise teardrops Nox makes.

Good

  • Very quick through the hitting zone
  • Large sweet spot for a carbon teardrop
  • Precise on overheads that are placed rather than hit
  • Comfortable feel next to the Genius 12K

Not so good

  • Modest ball exit from defence
  • No free power on the smash
  • Rewards clean timing; punishes late contact

Ventus Hybrid or Genius 12K Alum Xtrem?

Same weight window, same shape family, and a face from the same 12K family, so it comes down to feel. The AT10 Genius 12K Alum Xtrem 2026 scores higher for power (9.0 against 8.4) and rebound, and Padelful calls it the sharper, less forgiving racket. The Ventus wins on handling and sweet spot, and Padelful's comparison describes it as softer and more comfortable on the arm, with less finishing bite.

Our view: if you finish points with the smash, take the Genius. If you win them by moving the ball around and volleying well, the Ventus is the better racket for you.

Hybrid, Attack or Lite?

The Ventus comes in three useful flavours. The EA10 Ventus Attack is the same weight and face as a diamond with a high balance, for players who want the weight up at the head and are prepared for the adjustment period that shops warn about; the 2025 Future Attack 12K Alum is Nox's other carbon diamond, on a dense EV50 core. The Ventus Hybrid 12K Lite 2026 drops to 355 to 365 g with a rounder head, and Padelful scores it even quicker in the hand.

This Hybrid sits in the middle. Nox calls it Hybrid; on the spec sheets it's a teardrop with a medium balance, and it's the version a strong club player is most likely to get on with first time. If even a teardrop feels too lively, the round Ventus Control 3K 2027 from Miguel Lamperti's line is the control end of the family.

2026 or the 2027 Ventus Hybrid?

For 2027 Nox dropped the EA10 prefix and sells it as the Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtrem by Edu Alonso. The weight, core and teardrop class stay the same, but UK listings describe a redesigned mould, removable counterweights and a VCS anti-vibration lining in the handle. If you don't need those extras, the 2026 is the sensible buy while it's around, and it's why we list it on our padel racket sale page.

Alonso is a Spanish drive-side player, ranked 17th on the FIP men's list in October 2026 and partnering Aimar Goñi. The EA10 badge marks his signature line; we haven't confirmed which Ventus he uses in matches, so we don't claim it.

Spec card comparing the Nox EA10 Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtreme 2026 with the 2027 Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtrem by Edu Alonso: name, mould, weight, core, face and extras

Who should buy it

Advanced players and strong intermediates with a quick, tidy swing: net players, left-side players who build the point, anyone who has found a diamond too clumsy at the net. Our advanced padel rackets page sets it against other brands at the same level, and the teardrop padel racket hub explains why this shape suits all-court players.

Not for you if

You rely on the racket to give the ball depth from the back, or you're still learning to find the middle of the face. With a 6.9 for rebound it won't do that work for you. The softer AT10 Pro Cup Soft is a kinder step towards this level.

Setting it up

A fresh overgrip changes how a stiff carbon racket feels more than you'd expect; our padel grips page covers tacky and dry options. Fit Nox frame protectors before the first session, since a teardrop's top edge takes most of the knocks off the glass.

For balls, a tube of Nox Pro Titanium keeps the bag in the family; see the padel balls guide for how long a tube stays lively. The ML10 Competition XL Compact bag or anything from our padel bags carries it, and padel shoes with a herringbone sole matter on sand-filled turf. Still deciding? Nox EA10 Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtreme 2026 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Nox EA10 Ventus Hybrid 2026 the same as the 2027 Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtrem?

Close, but not identical. Weight, core and shape class are listed the same; the 2027 adds a redesigned mould, removable counterweights and a VCS handle lining, and drops the EA10 prefix.

Is the Nox EA10 Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtreme good for intermediate players?

For strong intermediates with a clean swing, yes. Its sweet spot is generous for a carbon racket, but the low rebound means you supply the depth yourself.

Ventus Hybrid or Ventus Attack: which should I choose?

The Hybrid is a teardrop with a medium balance for all-court play. The Attack is a diamond with a high balance for players who finish with the smash and accept a less forgiving racket.

Is the Nox Ventus Hybrid easier on the arm than the Genius 12K?

Padelful describes its feedback as softer and more comfortable than the AT10 Genius 12K Alum Xtrem. It is still a medium-hard carbon racket, so it is not an arm-friendly choice in the way a soft fibreglass racket is.

How heavy is the Nox EA10 Ventus Hybrid 12K Xtreme?

Nox gives a 360 to 375 g window. Each overgrip adds about 4 to 5 g at the handle.

Will the sand finish on the Ventus Hybrid wear off?

Gradually, with heavy play, and spin drops a little as it does. Wipe the face after sessions and keep the racket out of hot cars to slow it down.
