Nox EA10 Ventus Attack 12K Xtreme 2026 Padel Racket

£169.99

The Nox EA10 Ventus Attack 12K Xtreme is the diamond in Edu Alonso's 2026 Ventus line: 360 to 375 g, high balance, a stiff 12K Xtrem carbon face over an MLD Black EVA core. It's built for advanced players who finish at the net and already time the ball well.

Padelful scores it 9.4 for power and 8.3 overall. What makes it worth a look over Nox's other 12K diamond, the Genius Attack, is that it gives a little of that punch back in exchange for a friendlier sweet spot.

On court: smash first, ask questions later

Padelful's strengths read like a striker's CV: an explosive smash, firm and precise volleys, and plenty of spin on the bandeja. Control scores 8.8, which is high for a head-heavy diamond, so the overhead goes where you aim it rather than just hard.

The weaknesses are the usual diamond bill. Timing has to be right, the sweet spot is smaller than on a teardrop, and Padelful warns it can load the arm. Rebound is 7.1, so defending from the back glass takes a full swing. Dutch and UK listings say the same thing more bluntly: expect an adaptation period.

Ventus Attack, Genius Attack or Ventus Hybrid?

Nox made two 12K carbon diamonds for 2026. The AT10 Genius Attack 12K Alum Xtrem 2026 is Tapia's, on a harder HR3 Black EVA core, and Padelful rates it higher for power (9.9) and control (9.2). Its comparison calls the Genius direct and punchy, and the Ventus the more confidence-building of the pair, better for players who worry about their elbow. The Ventus also edges it on sweet spot, 8.1 against 7.9.

Same mould family as the Hybrid, different job

Alonso's Ventus Hybrid shares the weight, face and core, and moves the balance back to the middle in a teardrop. On Padelful the Hybrid handles at 9.5 against the Attack's 8.1, and its sweet spot is a full point bigger. The Attack pays you back with a point more power. If you play the left side and end rallies overhead, take the Attack; if you build the point from the right, the Hybrid suits you better.

For 2027 Nox reissued the Attack without the EA10 badge as the Ventus Attack 12K Xtrem, now carrying Aimar Goñi's name, Alonso's partner on the tour. Zona de Padel lists the same shape, weight, core and face. We haven't confirmed which Ventus either player uses in matches, so we don't claim it.

Who it suits

Advanced players with a reliable overhead and the footwork to get under the ball. If you're coming from a teardrop, it's one of the gentler routes into a full-weight diamond, and our diamond padel racket page explains what the shape changes. The advanced padel rackets hub sets it against Bullpadel and Siux at the same level.

Skip it if

You've had tennis elbow, you mostly defend from the back, or you're still finding the middle of the face. A head-heavy carbon diamond magnifies all three. Tapia's fibreglass Pro Cup Soft is a far kinder racket while you build the timing.

Grip, protector and balls

A high balance feels heavier with every overgrip you add, so stop at one; our padel grips page compares tacky and dry wraps. Diamonds catch the glass and the floor on low volleys, so fit Nox frame protectors before the first match.

Keep a fresh tube of Nox Pro Titanium balls or a Nox Nerbo dozen in the padel bag; flat balls rob a stiff face of exactly the pop you bought it for, and the padel balls guide covers how fast they go. A diamond asks for quick first steps, so padel shoes with a herringbone sole matter more than the racket on sandy turf. Comparing beyond Nox? Nox EA10 Ventus Attack 12K Xtreme 2026 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Nox EA10 Ventus Attack 2026 the same racket as the 2027 Ventus Attack by Aimar Goñi?

On the published specs it is the same diamond: 360 to 375 g, high balance, 12K Xtrem face, MLD Black EVA core. Nox renamed it for 2027 and moved it to Goñi's name.

Is the Nox EA10 Ventus Attack too much for an intermediate player?

For most, yes. A strong intermediate with a good overhead can manage it, but the smaller sweet spot and high balance punish late contact. The Ventus Hybrid is the easier step up.

Which is more powerful, the EA10 Ventus Attack or the AT10 Genius Attack 12K?

The Genius Attack, by Padelful's scores: 9.9 for power against 9.4. The Ventus Attack has the slightly bigger sweet spot and the friendlier feel.

How do I keep the Ventus Attack's textured face working?

Wipe it after play, keep the racket out of hot cars and away from the floor on low volleys. The grit wears slowly with heavy use, and spin drops a little as it does.

What does EA10 mean on a Nox padel racket?

It marks Edu Alonso's signature line, in the same way AT10 marks Agustín Tapia's and ML10 Miguel Lamperti's.
