Nox Future Attack 12K Alum 2025 Padel Racket

£184.99

The Nox Future Attack 12K Alum is a 360 to 375 g carbon diamond with a high balance, built for advanced players who finish points at the net: a 12K aluminised carbon face with a rough Spin 3D finish over a dense EV50 core.

Padelful scores its power at 9.6, the highest of Nox's three Future rackets. It asks for something back, though. The same review warns it demands more of you in defence, and the handling score is the lowest in the family.

How the Nox Future Attack plays

Heavy-headed and direct. A diamond puts the sweet spot high on the face, and a high balance moves the mass up there too, so a smash or an overhead volley carries real weight without a big swing. The EV50 core is dense and the 12K Alum face is stiff, which Tennisnuts sums up as thin, light carbon that keeps its stiffness: the ball leaves fast and doesn't sink in.

Padelful's numbers back that up. Power 9.6, control 8.2, rebound 7.7, handling 7.8 and sweet spot 7.9, for 8.2 overall. Read the last two carefully: it's slower through the air than a teardrop and less forgiving when you catch the ball low on the face, which is exactly where defensive shots tend to land.

Future Attack, Hybrid or Control?

Nox built the Future line in three shapes on the same EV50 core and 12K Alum face, and Padelful tested all three. The Future Hybrid is a teardrop that gives up a little power (9.0) for much better handling and sweet spot (8.4 each). The Future Control is round and the most rounded performer: 8.6 for control, 8.9 for handling, and still 8.5 for power.

So the Attack only makes sense if power is the thing you're short of. If you already hit hard and lose points to errors, the Hybrid or Control will win you more matches.

What does NFA mean on the Future Attack?

NFA stands for Nox Future Academy, the brand's programme for young players coming through, and some shops sell this racket as the Future Attack 12K Alum NFA Series. The specs they list match this one. The NFA letters carry on into 2026 on the NextGen Pro Attack 12K, a head-heavy diamond on an MLD Black EVA core.

Future Attack or the EA10 Ventus Attack?

Both are Nox carbon diamonds with a high balance and the same weight window. The EA10 Ventus Attack 2026 is a season newer and uses Nox's MLD Black EVA core under a 12K Xtrem face with a sand finish; the Future Attack has the EV50 core and a 12K Alum face. Padelful hasn't published a review of the Ventus Attack, so we can't compare scores. Tapia's Genius Attack 18K 2026 is the step up in precision: Padelful gives it 9.1 for control against the Future Attack's 8.2.

If you like the Ventus family's feel but want a teardrop, Edu Alonso's EA10 Ventus Hybrid is the more forgiving option. Our diamond padel racket page lines the Future Attack up against Bullpadel's and Oxdog's diamonds.

Who the Future Attack suits

Advanced players with a long, confident swing who love to finish overhead, often the left-side player in a pair. It also suits anyone who has played a heavy diamond before and wants the same punch from Nox. See our advanced padel rackets for the wider field.

Not for you if

You spend most rallies defending from the back glass, you're an intermediate still grooving your technique, or your elbow has opinions. A head-heavy diamond with a stiff face makes all three worse. The Future Hybrid or a softer teardrop is the better buy.

Grip, protector and kit

A fresh overgrip stops a head-heavy racket twisting in a sweaty hand; our padel grips page covers tacky and dry options. Fit Nox frame protectors early, because a diamond's wide shoulders hit the floor on low volleys more than you'd think.

Pair it with a lively ball such as Nox Pro Titanium; our padel balls guide explains how long a tube lasts. A padel bag with a thermal pocket protects the EV50 core from heat, and padel shoes with grip for sand-filled turf matter when you're attacking the net. Still weighing it up? Nox Future Attack 12K Alum 2025 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Nox Future Attack 12K Alum the same as the NFA Series version?

Retailers list the same specs for both. NFA stands for Nox Future Academy, and the NFA Series carries that branding. Choose by design.

Is the Nox Future Attack good for intermediate players?

Rarely. Padelful rates it for advanced players and warns it asks more of you in defence. Most intermediates will play better with the Future Hybrid or Control.

Future Attack or Future Hybrid: which is better?

The Attack scores higher for power (9.6 against 9.0); the Hybrid scores higher for handling and sweet spot (8.4 against 7.8 and 7.9). Pick the Attack only if power is what you lack.

What core does the Nox Future Attack use?

EV50, a high-density EVA. It is firmer than the soft cores in Nox entry rackets, which is why the racket feels direct and fast off the face.

How heavy is the Nox Future Attack 12K Alum?

Most listings give 360 to 375 g; Tennisnuts lists 360 g with 10 g either way. An overgrip adds about 4 to 5 g.

How long does the rough face on the Future Attack last?

Textured faces wear gradually with heavy play and lose a little bite as they do. Cleaning the face after sessions and storing the racket away from heat slows that down.
