Nox AT10 Genius Attack 18K Alum 2027 Padel Racket

£302.99

The Nox AT10 Genius Attack 18K Alum 2027 is the diamond, head-heavy Genius for advanced players who win points at the net: an aluminised 18K carbon face over a firm MLD Black EVA core, 360 to 375 g, 38 mm thick, with a rough sand finish for spin.

Read the reviews before you add it to the basket. Padelful gives this edition 7.3 overall, with power at 9.4 but control at 6.6, and rates last season's version 1.4 points higher. It suits a player who already swings fast and rarely lobs from the back; for everyone else, a sibling below does the job better.

How the Genius Attack 18K plays in 2027

Weight sits high in the head, so the racket feels slow to start and brutal to finish. Padelful scores power at 9.4 and rebound at 7.6, and the face pays you back on a clean overhead; a flat smash or a víbora from the left side gets there with very little arm. Where it struggles is the time between shots. Handling is 6.4, the testers call it slow in fast hand battles, and the list of weaknesses adds a high sweet spot that punishes lobs and a face that is harsh on off-centre blocks.

Think of it as a racket for the player who is already at the net before the ball arrives. Nox publishes a 15 g weight window rather than a single figure and no balance number, so treat 360 to 375 g and "high" as the brand's own description, and expect your sample to land somewhere inside that range.

Which Genius Attack should you buy: 18K, 12K Xtrem or last year's?

Same shape, three very different review profiles. The 2026 Genius Attack 18K scores 8.7 on Padelful, with 9.1 for control against 6.6 here, so it is the better 18K diamond if you can live with the previous season. The Genius Attack 12K Alum Xtrem 2027 uses Nox's stiffest 12K weave and scores 8.8, with power up to 9.7 and control at 9.4.

That leaves the 18K 2027 for one buyer: someone who wants exactly this season's name and shape, or who has tried it and liked how it sits in their hand. Everyone else gets more racket for similar money from one of the other two.

Genius Attack 18K or the teardrop Genius 18K?

Nox builds both from the same face and core, and the shape does the rest. The diamond gains about 1.5 points of power over the Genius 18K 2027 and gives up 2.1 points of control, 3.2 of handling and 2.3 of sweet spot. That is a lot to pay for a smash. Our page on the diamond padel racket explains the trade across brands, and the teardrop padel racket hub shows what the safer middle looks like.

Not for you if

You're an intermediate, you hit a lot of lobs from the back, or you lose time on late preparation. A high balance and a high sweet spot punish all three. Nox's Future Attack is a gentler first diamond.

Grip, protector and the rest of the kit

A diamond's wide shoulders meet the floor on low volleys, so fit a racket protector on day one. Keep the handle tacky with a fresh overgrip from our padel grips, because a heavy head twists in a slippery hand. Pair it with a lively tube from the padel balls range, padel shoes for sand-filled turf and a padel bag with a thermal pocket. More attacking options sit on our advanced padel rackets page, across the full padel racket range, and in the guide to choosing a padel racket.

Nox AT10 Genius Attack 18K Alum 2027 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Nox Genius Attack 18K 2027 the same as the AT10 Genius Attack 18K?

Yes. Nox dropped the "AT10 Luxury" prefix when the 2027 range went on sale in September 2026, so the same racket appears under both names depending on the retailer.

Why does Padelful score the 2027 Genius Attack 18K so much lower than the 2026?

Power is about the same, but the 2027 loses ground on control (6.6 against 9.1), handling and sweet spot. The reviewers call the high sweet spot punishing on lobs and the racket slow in fast exchanges.

Should I buy the Genius Attack 18K or the Genius Attack 12K Xtrem for 2027?

On Padelful the 12K Xtrem scores 8.8 against 7.3 and beats it on every measure. Pick the 18K only if you have tried it and prefer how it feels.

How heavy is the Nox Genius Attack 18K Alum 2027?

Nox gives a 360 to 375 g window rather than one figure. An overgrip adds about 4 to 5 g, and the balance is high, so it feels heavier than the number suggests.

Does a Genius Attack 18K suit an intermediate player?

Rarely. It rewards early preparation and fast arm speed, and it punishes off-centre contact. A teardrop such as the Genius 18K is a kinder step up.
