Shockout Dual Pro Grip and Overgrip (Blue and Orange)

£5.83

The Shockout Dual Pro grip and overgrip is a two-part grip set in blue and neon orange: a grip for the handle and an overgrip to wrap over it. Padel Nuestro describes a thin, smooth, water-repellent, quick-drying tape that suits open, closed, continental and Australian handle shapes.

Retailers disagree about what is in the pack, and our own handle says one pack, so check what you receive. The thickness, length and width are not published on the listings we found.

What the listings say about the Dual Pro

Padel Nuestro sells it as a duo: a grip and an overgrip together, in a white pack with blue and neon orange accents. The tape is described as lightweight and adhesive with a smooth texture, water-repellent and quick drying, and the shop says it suits any handle shape, open, closed, continental or Australian, and any level of player.

Those are seller claims, and one of them, about preventing injuries by changing muscle tension in the hand, is not something we would repeat as fact, so we have not. A grip set is for handle feel and comfort, not medical benefit.

Where the sources differ

A second retailer, Padel Market, describes the Dual Pro grip as having a foam band inside that absorbs vibration and a perforated surface for sweat, and sells it as a two-pack. Padel Nuestro mentions neither the foam band nor the perforation. We read that as the same product described differently, but we could not confirm it, so treat the extra features as unverified.

Pack size is the other gap. A duo, a two-pack and a one-pack are three different things, so confirm with us before you assume you are getting a spare. Colour labels are also inconsistent across the Padel Market pages, so the blue and orange here is the Padel Nuestro colourway.

Grip set or separate parts?

A set saves choosing, but you can also build your own: a base grip such as Raquex's Enhance base grip or the adidas 1.8 mm base layer, topped with an overgrip like the HEAD Padel Pro 3 pack at 0.6 mm.

More choices are on the padel grips page. Fit a racket protector, add padel balls, and see the padel racket range and padel accessories for the rest.

Who should skip it

Anyone who wants a stated thickness, a confirmed pack size or a long strip for lots of overlap, and players who prefer a thicker, cushioned wrap.

Not for you if

You need a stated thickness or pack size. The listing calls it thin gauge with no figure, and retailers disagree on whether it is a duo or a two-pack.

Shockout Dual Pro Grip and Overgrip (Blue and Orange): questions people ask

What is in the Shockout Dual Pro grip and overgrip pack?

Padel Nuestro lists a grip and an overgrip as a duo. Another retailer sells it as a two-pack, so check what arrives.

What is the difference between a grip and an overgrip?

The grip goes on the handle as a base layer, and the overgrip wraps over it and is changed more often.

Is the Shockout Dual Pro the same as the Dual Pro Y overgrip?

They look like the same product in different colours. The Y version in black and orange has its own listing.

Does the Shockout Dual Pro have a foam band?

One retailer says it has a foam band and a perforated surface. Padel Nuestro does not mention them, so treat it as unconfirmed.

How thick is the Shockout Dual Pro overgrip?

No thickness is published. The listing says thin gauge, so ask before buying if handle size matters.
