Softee Trionic Fiber Padel Racket

£59.95

The Softee Trionic Fiber padel racket is a light-blue fibreglass teardrop with an EVA Soft core, made for improving beginners and intermediate players who want comfortable, easy depth and quick hands at the net.

Think of it as the slightly firmer sibling of Softee's Phantom. A little more push on the ball, a slightly smaller sweet spot, and the same gentle feel on the arm.

A teardrop starter with a little more push

Fibreglass over a soft foam is the standard recipe for a first proper racket, and the Trionic Fiber doesn't stray from it. Where it differs from Softee's rounder-feeling options is the teardrop head, which sits the sweet spot slightly higher and lets a full swing carry a bit more pace.

Padelful's 2026 test bears that out: 9 for rebound, 8.3 for manoeuvrability, 8.4 for sweet spot, 7.5 for control and 7.3 for power. They liked the easy depth on defensive lobs, the forgiveness on off-centre hits and how quickly it moves in a volley exchange. The criticisms are the usual ones for this class: feedback goes vague on hard drives, and the smash lacks the authority to finish points on its own.

Trionic Fiber or Phantom: what the numbers say

Padelful tested both Softee fibreglass starters, which makes this a rare like-for-like comparison. The Trionic Fiber scores higher for power (7.3 against 6.5) and slightly higher for manoeuvrability; the Phantom wins clearly on sweet spot (9.5 against 8.4) and rebound. Control is level at 7.5.

In plain terms, the Phantom is the more forgiving racket and the Trionic Fiber the slightly more useful one once you start attacking. If most of your points are still won by keeping the ball in, choose the Phantom. If you're beginning to hit through the ball at the net, the Trionic Fiber gives a touch more back.

The smooth face and what it costs you

Unlike rackets with a sanded or 3D-textured face, the Trionic Fiber is smooth. Padelful notes the obvious consequence: less bite on viboras and cut overheads. For a beginner that barely matters, because spin comes from technique long before it comes from texture. For a player already slicing the ball deliberately, a rough-faced racket like the Summit Perla grips it better.

One small caveat on the details: our listing carries no year, while Padelful's entry is for the 2026 Trionic Fiber. The blue colourway and the Padel Shack listing we source from point to the same racket, and our catalogue tags the shape as hybrid where Padelful says teardrop.

Good fit, bad fit

A good fit for someone in their first or second year who plays socially once or twice a week, wants something more lively than a pure control racket, and doesn't want to pay carbon prices yet. It belongs with our best padel rackets for beginners and the cheap padel rackets we list.

Not for you if

Your smash is the shot you rely on, or you want crisp feedback on hard drives. Padelful's own cons cover both. A carbon-faced racket from the padel racket range will give you the firmness the Trionic Fiber deliberately leaves out.

Kit for the first season

A padel racket protector costs little and saves the frame from the inevitable scrape on the floor. Add an overgrip from our padel grip range when the original starts to feel slippery, usually a few weeks in.

Then a tube of fresh padel balls, padel shoes with a proper sole for sand-filled turf, and a padel bag to carry it all. If you're still deciding on shape, our guide on how to choose a padel racket walks through teardrop, round and diamond.

Softee Trionic Fiber Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Softee Trionic Fiber the same as the Softee Trionic Light?

No. The Trionic Light is a lighter racket (retailers list 320 to 340g) with an EVA Extrasoft core. The Trionic Fiber is 355 to 370g with an EVA Soft core and a smooth fibreglass face.

Is the Softee Trionic Fiber good for beginners?

Yes, particularly beginners who are improving quickly. Padelful scored it 9 for rebound and 8.4 for sweet spot, so it forgives mistimed shots while giving a little more power than Softee's Phantom.

Softee Trionic Fiber or Phantom: which has more power?

The Trionic Fiber. Padelful scored its power at 7.3 against the Phantom's 6.5, while the Phantom has the larger sweet spot.

Will the smooth face on the Trionic Fiber wear out?

There is no texture to wear smooth, so the face itself changes little. With heavy use any racket loses some liveliness as the foam ages, and the frame edges take the knocks, which a protector helps with.

How heavy is the Softee Trionic Fiber?

Padelful lists it at 355 to 370g. Add a few grams for an overgrip.
