Solinco Dura-Cush Replacement Grip

A replacement grip is the base layer: you peel off the old one, wrap this onto the handle and, if you like, an overgrip on top. Doittennis describes the Dura-Cush as offering cushioning, dampening and surface tack, with a perforated top layer, and lists it at 1.8 mm thick and 2.5 cm wide, in black or white. One listing prints a length of 1.8 mm, which looks like a typing slip, and none gives the length of the strip.

At 1.8 mm it is three times as thick as the overgrips we list, so it grows a handle noticeably. Solinco's thicker Hyper-Cush is listed at 2.5 mm.

Padel shops sell their own replacement grips, such as the Raquex Enhance and Bullpadel's Hesacore. If you just need a fresh surface, an overgrip is thinner and cheaper to swap, and Volkl's calfskin grip is the firmer, old-school alternative.

Remove the old grip and tape, check the handle for residue, and wrap from the butt cap with a small overlap. Add a racket protector while the racket is out of its cover, and browse the full padel racket range if a new frame is on the cards.
