What the junior JX1 is
A junior version of Y1's round shape: a flexible fibreglass face with Texture Control to help young players learn spin, an AirSpring EVA core that Padel Shack calls soft and forgiving on mishits, a frame that is 30% carbon and 70% fibreglass, and a perforated VibraControl grip.
Balance is even in the spec table but described as low in the copy, which for a junior is a sensible thing: a head-light racket is easier to swing. What matters more is the weight, and the page contradicts itself on that.
Is the JX1 the right size for a child?
The weight is the problem. PadelShop's size guide puts a seven to nine-year-old at 280 to 310 g and 40 to 43 cm, and Decathlon's under-8 rackets are 265 g and 310 g. Even the lower 322 g figure is above those, so the JX1 reads better for an older junior than a small child.
