adidas Match 3.4 Padel Racket (2025)

£54.99

The adidas Match 3.4 padel racket is the 2025 edition of adidas's entry racket: a soft, fibreglass-faced racket with an EVA Soft Performance core, listed at 360 to 375 g, for new players and improvers who want a forgiving, comfortable first racket. This listing is the Match Blue.

adidas numbered its racket generations until 2025, so 3.4 means last season. From 2026 the same line goes by the year, and the current racket is on our adidas Match page. Padelful's scores for the two are almost identical, which is the best argument for choosing whichever is in stock.

Match 3.4 or the 2026 Match?

All For Padel, the company that designs and sells adidas rackets, treats the 3.3 (2024) and 3.4 (2025) as earlier years of the same Match racket. Padelful's numbers agree: it scored the Match Blue 3.4 at 6.1 overall with 6.1 for power, 6.6 for control and 5.6 for rebound, and the Match Black 2026 at 5.9, 5.9, 6.3 and 5.4. Different colourways, near-identical racket.

So the 3.4 is not an inferior version of the new one. If you can get the 3.4 and you like the colour, you are not giving up anything you could measure. If the 2026 is available, take the 2026, because the racket you buy is then current when you come to replace a grip or compare notes.

How the Match 3.4 plays

Padelful's review is of the Blue 3.4. Its best number is manoeuvrability, 7.2, which the review connects to quick changes between defence and attack. Control is 6.6, and the hit is described as comfortable and forgiving, with a core that absorbs vibration, which can help an arm that is new to the game.

The number to read carefully is the sweet spot: 5.1, the lowest on the sheet. It tells you to expect a small area of good contact, so you will notice mishits. If forgiveness is your priority, that is a reason to move to the round Drive.

What the specs say, and where they disagree

Shops cannot agree on the head shape. All For Padel calls it all-round, a teardrop-style mould, Padelful calls it a diamond, and some listings call it round. A Dutch retailer lists the balance as slightly head-heavy, and adidas gives no millimetre figure. We do not quote one.

What every source agrees on is the construction: fibreglass face and frame, EVA Soft Performance core, 360 to 375 g. For a beginner that is the part that matters.

Who should skip the Match 3.4

Anyone who already rallies, wants power or has outgrown a fibreglass racket. A small sweet spot will frustrate a player who makes lots of off-centre contact. If you are a first-timer worried about that, a round racket is gentler; see our beginner padel rackets.

Not for you if

You want the most forgiving sweet spot, you want power, or you need to know the exact balance point. The Drive or the RX Series will give you a rounder, simpler first racket.

What else you need

A racket protector goes on first; an overgrip such as the adidas 3-pack keeps the handle dry, and the padel grips page has more. Try adidas Speed RX balls and read our padel balls guide. Then padel shoes for the sand.

Compare entry rackets on the cheap padel racket page, see current clearance on the padel racket sale page, and use our guide to choosing a padel racket if the shapes are new. The padel racket range covers everything else.

adidas Match 3.4 Padel Racket (2025): questions people ask

What does 3.4 mean on the adidas Match?

It is the 2025 edition. adidas numbered its generations (3.3 for 2024, 3.4 for 2025) and from 2026 names the racket by its year.

Is the adidas Match 3.4 the same as the 2026 Match?

All For Padel treats the 3.3 and 3.4 as earlier years of the same racket, and Padelful's scores for the 3.4 and the 2026 Match are almost identical.

Is the adidas Match 3.4 a good beginner racket?

Yes, for the soft feel and handling. Its sweet spot is small for a beginner racket, so a round racket is more forgiving if you mishit a lot.

What is the difference between the Match Blue, Black and Light 3.4?

Colour and weight. The Light is listed lighter, around 345 to 360 g, while the Blue and Black sit at 360 to 375 g. Check the specific listing.

Is the Match 3.4 a diamond or a round racket?

Sources disagree. All For Padel calls it all-round, Padelful calls it a diamond, and some listings say round. Look at the head in the photo.

How long does a fibreglass racket like the Match last?

A couple of seasons of regular play with a protector. Most players outgrow it before the frame wears out.
