adidas Metalbone Pro Padel Racket 2026

£291.95

The adidas Metalbone Pro padel racket is the limited edition of the 2026 Metalbone, sold with Ale Galán's name: a head-heavy diamond for advanced attackers, with a 16K carbon aluminised face and a weight of 345 to 360 g. A removable weight system adds up to 11.2 g so you can tune it.

On the licensee's sheet it matches the standard Metalbone closely. We found no independent review of the Pro Edition, and retailers disagree on weight, face and core, so this page sets out the published facts and the doubts.

What the Metalbone Pro Edition is

All For Padel, adidas's licensee, lists the Pro Edition as a pro-level diamond with a head-heavy balance, a 455 mm length and a 38 mm profile. The face is 16K carbon aluminised on a carbon frame, with EVA Soft Performance rubber. The sweet spot sits at the top of the face.

Its technology list is the Metalbone's: Structural Reinforcement, Power Groove, Low Poly, an Octagonal Structure, Extra Power Grip, Smart Holes Curve and a Weight and Balance System. The page calls the racket built for offensive play, meant to speed up smashes and aggressive volleys, and says the adjustable weight lets you tune the feel.

It is sold as a limited edition with Ale Galán's name attached. The standard Metalbone is also sold under the same name, so the edition is a presentation and reference-code difference as far as the specs show.

Where listings disagree

Most listings agree on 345 to 360 g and a 16K face. Padelformat quotes 365 to 375 g, a 12K face and a firm EVA core, which makes it an outlier, and one listing gives a balance point of 285 mm without a source. Expect the licensee's figures and weigh the racket when it arrives.

There is no independent test of the edition. For how the standard racket plays, read the Metalbone page, where Padelful scores it 8.7 with power at 9.1. If the head-heavy build is too much, the Metalbone Carbon is the more forgiving diamond and the Metalbone Ctrl is round.

Who should skip the Pro Edition

Anyone who wants a forgiving sweet spot, an easy arm or a racket that works straight from the box. A head-heavy diamond with a top-of-the-face sweet spot punishes off-centre hits, and the weight system rewards the player who likes to tinker. See the advanced padel rackets page for the wider choice and the intermediate padel rackets page for the step before.

Not for you if

You want an easy-to-hit racket, an independent review or a premium for a name. On paper the edition matches the standard Metalbone, and we found no test of it.

Setting up a diamond racket

Fit a racket protector and a fresh adidas overgrip; the padel grips page has other options. adidas Speed RX balls and the padel balls guide cover the rest, and padel shoes help with the net work.

More power rackets are on the diamond padel rackets page, our guide to choosing a padel racket explains the trade-offs, and the full padel racket range covers the rest.
