Babolat Technical Veron 3.0 Padel Racket
£153.47
The Babolat Technical Veron is the softer way into a diamond: a head-heavy racket for players who want to attack with overheads and net play but are not ready for the hard core of a Viper. The 3.0 is the 2026 edition, at 360 g (give or take 10), with a Black EVA core and a Carbon Flex face, a weave of carbon and fibreglass that Babolat says gives more playability than a stiff carbon frame.
Padelful's scores are unusually even: control 8.6, rebound 8.6, power 8.5 and sweet spot 8.5, with manoeuvrability the soft spot at 7.9. A diamond that does not punish every mistake is rarer than it sounds.
Babolat numbers rackets by version, so the Technical Veron 3.0 is what shops also list as the Technical Veron 2026.

Which level is the Babolat Technical Veron 3.0 2026 Padel Racket for?
By Tushan Das, Owner, Padel Depot · Updated
Babolat Technical Veron or Technical Viper?
Both are head-heavy diamonds at the top of their families, and both carry Babolat's Dynamic Stability System, a central bar meant to steady the head. The difference is the stuff in between. The Technical Viper 3.0 has a Hard EVA core with a carbon layer in it, a 3K carbon face and a weight of 370 g. The Technical Veron uses Black EVA and Carbon Flex at 360 g. A Lebron-listed twin, the Veron Juan Lebron 3.0, has near-identical specifications, and the 2026/27 successor is the Veron Juan Lebron 3.1.
On court that makes the Veron about 10 g lighter, noticeably kinder to the arm and a lot more forgiving on a late contact. The Viper hits harder when you hit it perfectly. If you are asking which to buy and you are not already sure it is the Viper, it is probably the Veron.

How the Technical Veron plays
Padelful's tester liked the ball exit, which is easy, and the overheads and bandeja, which are reliable. Volleys at the net come off stable and direct. For a diamond, the control is good: slow rallies let you place the ball with precision, and the medium feel keeps contact comfortable.
The soft spot is hands. At 7.9 for manoeuvrability, it is the slowest of the Veron family in a scramble, and the same review says defence feels slower under pressure and that late contact is punished. In plain terms, it wants you in position early. If you tend to arrive at the ball a half-step behind, a head-heavy racket will let you know.
Retailer pages and Padelful disagree on whether the sweet spot is large or small. The 2026 scores say 8.5, which is good; an older review of the earlier Technical Veron listed a small sweet spot as a drawback. Whichever it is, it sits high in the head, as on any diamond.

Where the Technical Veron sits in the Veron range
The Veron family uses the same Black EVA and Carbon Flex recipe in three shapes. The Air Veron 2.6 is the quick teardrop, the Counter Veron is the round control racket, and the Technical is the one you pick when your game is built around the smash and the bandeja.
| Racket | Shape and weight | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Technical Veron 3.0 | Diamond, 360 g, head heavy | Improving attackers who want power and a forgiving feel |
| Air Veron 2.6 | Teardrop, 355 g, even balance | Quick-handed all-court players |
| Counter Veron | Round, 365 g, head heavy | Back-court players who build points |
| Technical Viper 3.0 | Diamond, 370 g, Hard EVA | Advanced attackers with fast swings |

Who should skip the Technical Veron
A diamond is a diamond. If you are early in your padel life, the best padel racket for beginners list is built on round, soft rackets that will teach you more. Intermediate players who already find the sweet spot hard to hit should look at the best padel racket for intermediate players page first.
It is also not the racket for a defensive player who wants quick hands in a scramble. The control padel rackets page is a better fit.
Not for you if
You arrive late to the ball, play mostly from the baseline or want a racket that reacts quickly in hand battles. A head-heavy diamond punishes late contact, and Padelful's tester found defence slower under pressure.
Setting up a Technical Veron
Babolat recommends its Syntec Pro grip. A tacky overgrip such as the Babolat VS overgrip gives you a way to adjust the thickness, and the padel grips page covers replacement grips as well. Fit frame tape from the racket protector range before the first match; a diamond head meets the glass more often than you would like.
Fresh pressure helps a racket that relies on you for the pace, so a tube of Babolat Court balls is a sensible pairing, and the padel balls page explains how fast a tube goes flat. The Babolat RH Pro bag will hold it, with more on the padel bags page, and court shoes are on our padel shoes page.
To compare it with attackers from other brands, browse the diamond padel rackets page or the full padel racket range, and read our guide to choosing a padel racket if shape and balance still feel like jargon.
