Babolat Veron Juan Lebron 3.1 Padel Racket

£210

The Babolat Veron Juan Lebron 3.1 is the most approachable racket in Juan Lebron's signature line: a head-heavy diamond at about 360 g with a Carbon Flex face, a black EVA core and a 38 mm carbon frame. Babolat aims it at intermediate and competitive players with an offensive style, which makes it the easier way into a Lebron diamond than the Viper.

It is new, and we found no independent test of the 3.1. Where this page quotes scores, they belong to the 3.0 Veron Juan Lebron it follows, and we label them that way.

Babolat files it in the Juan Lebron collection 2026, while some European shops list it as 2027. That is a naming difference rather than two rackets.

What Babolat publishes about the Veron 3.1

Babolat's UK page lists a diamond head, a head-heavy balance, about 360 g give or take 10, a 38 mm profile, a Carbon Flex surface, a carbon frame and a black EVA core, with Syntec Pro as the recommended grip. The Dynamic Stability System adds stiffness to the frame to help power and stability, and raised surface patterns are there for spin. The colours are light green and violet purple, and the typology is Technical Striker.

Carbon Flex is Babolat's blend of carbon and fibreglass, which Babolat uses on faces meant to give power with a softer touch than all-carbon. The one thing the page does not give is a score from anyone who has played with it.

What the 3.0 tells us

The nearest evidence is Padelful's page for the Veron Juan Lebron 3.0, the 2026 racket the 3.1 follows. It scores overall 8.4, with power 9, control 8.7, rebound 8.4, manoeuvrability 7.4 and sweet spot 8.5, rates the feel medium, and found a punchy ball exit, stable overheads and a friendly sweet spot for a diamond. The cost was a head-heavy racket that slows quick exchanges.

We do not know what the 3.1 changes, and we are not going to guess. Treat those numbers as a guide to the family, not as measurements of the new racket. Our page for the Veron Juan Lebron 3.0 has the detail.

Veron, Viper or Viper Soft in the 3.1 line?

All three share a head-heavy diamond and a Syntec Pro grip. The Viper Juan Lebron 3.1 is the firmest, at 370 g with a 3K carbon face and a hard EVA core, and the Viper Soft Juan Lebron 3.1 sits in between at 365 g with a Soft Carbon face. The Veron is the lightest of the three and the one Babolat aims at intermediates as well as competitive players.

If your arm is sensitive or your technique is still developing, start with the Veron. If you want the hard, direct feel and already attack well, the Viper is the signature racket.

Who should skip the Veron 3.1

Defenders and anyone who wants a soft, forgiving racket. A head-heavy diamond needs early preparation, and untested rackets are a risk if you cannot demo first. The best padel racket for intermediate players page lists friendlier frames, and the control padel rackets page covers round ones.

Not for you if

You play from the back or need evidence before buying. The 3.1 has no independent test, and its predecessor was described as slow in quick exchanges and demanding in defence. The diamond padel racket page lists tested alternatives.

Setting up a Veron 3.1

Babolat recommends Syntec Pro. An overgrip such as the Babolat VS overgrip adds tack, and our padel grips page explains when to replace instead. Fit frame tape from the racket protector range before the first match.

Fresh balls matter for a racket with punch, so a box of Babolat Ace balls is a natural partner, and the padel balls page explains how fast pressure fades. The padel bags and padel shoes pages complete the kit, and the full padel racket range, the advanced padel rackets list and our guide to choosing a padel racket put it in context.
